Turns out that both cars had their titles transferred both times, but presumably through dealerships. The cars themselves are problem-free. Whew! I just got off the phone with Daniel. He went and got the insurance ($700 for the first six months; the 6 month amount will drop after that) and now hes waiting until 3:00pm, which is when his grandmother will come and get him and his brother and take them to get the cars. In the meantime, my mom and I will be going out and doing a few things.
Im practically panting in anticipation of having a new car as well as almost salivating with lust for Daniel. Hehe, boy itll be good to be home tonight! Im also really looking forward to be home to see my cats and make sure everything is okay. Logically I know that theres enough food and more than enough water, but Im just worried :what: and paranoid that Ill come home to half petrified cats. :shocked:
His grandmother is a wonderful person. Daniel and I told both our families of course about it being stolen, about getting it back, and of course about it dying on us, but we never actually asked for help. The idea that his grandmother had this extra money (money she apparently wanted to get rid of before 2003, so she wouldnt have to pay end of the year taxes) and decided to graciously use it on us (and his brother) for transportation is astonishing. And furthermore, that she went out of her way to get a new and top of the line car with very low milage (18,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) leaves me flabbergasted… she could have spent about $1000 and gotten a very high milage car that was older… but instead she got a new one for us. Wow. :angelic:
