New layout!

Whitney inspired me with her gorgeous winter layout, so I made one of my own. You like?
I love the winter season. I love Christmas. I love snow. Right now I’m burning a pine scented candle, and my hair smells like Suave’s evergreen garland. I’m really, really homesick. I want to be home with my family. I want to have a job there, so I can take my mother and brothers out and do things with them. I just want to be home… :sigh:
Daniel is doing horribly in school. Basically, he doesn’t even bother going. I know he’s going to fail. He knows he’s going to fail. Up until now he’s been stubbornly refusing to drop out. However, the other day he said that he will drop out, and we’ll see about getting the $1500 back from Chris, and we’ll move back home to [private].
But will he do that? He said this to me Monday; it’s Wednesday now and he still hasn’t made an appointment with his advisor to see about doing all of this. He better make a decision and get something done, pronto. I’m tired of sitting by and watching him ruin his life, and I’m sick of willingly ruining mine. I want someone who is going to acheive their goals, or change them – not sit and willingly watch themselves not acheive them. I can’t help him, because he won’t help himself. I want things to change, or I want out. Now.
I know one thing for sure – I don’t want to spend Christmas in Pittsburgh. I want to be home with my family.

OMG! *faints* I have a layout I was working on with that exact same image! AHHHH!

Oh my. This layout is positively darling. I love winter, too, so this layout really speaks to me. It makes me chilly!

You should tell Daniel exactly what you said right there, hun. Let him know that if he doesn’t shape up, then you are going to ship out… and you need to be realistic about it, too. Make him make that appointment with his advisor and make him call Chris and ask about the money. Both things are pretty important and can only be done in a certain time frame…

Why he acts like a little kid is beyond me. I mean, I guess I could understand him not wanting to drop out yet if he was failing but really working hard at trying to pass, but he isn’t… he really is ruining his chances in life…. and somewhere down the line YOU are going to be paying for it as well as him, seeing as you will be marrying him and his problems.

That sounded reallu harsh, and I hope you know I didn’t mean for it to be mean or cruel. I care about you and I just want you to be happy… and you shouldn’t have to suffer because of someone else’s mistakes. Maybe you and Dan can go out for coffee and quietly talk this out… he is less likely to blow up and yell at you if you are out in public (if you are afraid of his temper, which is understandable because I would be, anyway…). Let him know that you are trying to HELP him, not make him feel bad.

Anywho… damn this comment was long. See, it’s that damn coffee… I drink a few cups and I type and do stuff like crazy…. ugh.

    Nice long comment Chrissy ;)
Thanks though… I have takled to him about this; a lot. He knows I mean it, because when I brought it up again tonight about me not wanting to be with someone who does nothing, he sounded and looked a little choked up…
I need to e-mail his advisor, and if I have to, speak to Chris myself.
Public place… hmmm… I didn’t think of that. Perhaps I should. I do want to discuss this more with him, but I am a bit afraid to push things too far…

awwww cute layout!:) winter is my favourite season too. winter = christmas hehe. i love the warm, cosy, fuzzy feeling you get and just snugging up warm in scarfs and coats & having coffee at starbucks with christmas decorations surrounding you…aahhhh:)

I totally agree with Chrissy. go out for coffee. Even without his temper it’s good for having a serious conversation because neither person can get vry riled up because you are in public. And at least he is realizing you are serious. I know you love him and everything hun, but you need to do whats good for you first, and help him along the way.

I know what it’s like to be away from your family. :( It really sucks! I really like your christmas layout. I live around Pgh and I was just wondering if you lived in the actual city. :)

Hey Jenn. I’m lovin’ this winter layout — winter is a great season, if only it snowed here where I live, in Cali. *Sigh* I understand your feeling of homesickness — I really hope you get to go to [private] and spend some time with your family! You -do- deserve it. And I agree with Chrissy — tell Daniel what you just stated in the blog, sometimes cold harsh words work the best in communication, no? :P Anyway, have a good one!
