No more belly!

Sometimes it’s really hard to believe that I went from this (picture taken September 25th)…

Did I mention that I waddled?

…To this (picture taken November 22nd)…

Once again, my boobs stick out farther than my stomach!

It feels good to have my body back. :cloudnine: However, I sometimes miss being pregnant. I miss the anticipation, the excitement, the anxiety. I miss laying in bed at night with Daniel and both of us feeling my belly, gently (and sometimes not so gently :haha:) pushing and poking to make her move. I miss the thrill of feeling her move, the look of wonder and excitement in Daniel’s eyes and the awe in his voice as he was feeling her move.
I also miss being able to sleep through the night (those quick bathroom trips every two-three hours don’t count, as I was half asleep at those times!), and not being bogged down with baby things all the time. I miss being able to just throw my shoes on and go out the door, where now I have to do that, plus get the baby up, change her, nurse her, burp her, put her in her sleeping bag, pack a diaper bag, and then go out the door. :dead:
Of course, I’m much happier having Alyssa here with us… at least, most of the time I am. ;)

Alyssa must be going through a growth spurt. She sucked me dry this afternoon (she nursed for an hour and a half at one sitting!). My mother and Daniel found out that she will not take formula (we keep two cans around “just in case”), so I resorted to mixing two ounces of breastmilk and two ounces of warm water with two tablespoons of cereal and one tablespoon of formula. She glared and growled at me, and fussed a bit, but did drink about half of the bottle. It looks like hunger won over taste! Later on, when I had milk again and went to nurse her, she was rooting and trying to latch on to my breast before I even had my shirt off! Poor baby. :hearts: Poor me: my nipples hurt. Before when they’d hurt they’d hurt only if they were being sucked on (by Alyssa or Daniel… :censored:). Now just the sensation of my bra against them makes them tingle painfully.

Looks like the boobies are taking over now not the belly which is always a plus! I bet it brings your self esteem up alot also to just lose all that weight in such a small period of time. Looking good MOMMY

Ah maybe try some of that numbing medicine for the nipples Can’t think of the name right of hand but will let you know when my brain functions properly ;) Just a thought!

PS I needed the boobie smiley in the post :whimper:

Man… it’s weird how the human body works sometimes :) Plus from what I’ve heard, breast feeding helps you loose weight too :)

Hehez… That must be one hell of an experience! Goodie & congrats that you’ve got your boday back ;) Alyssa’s gonna grow up to be something! I am thinking that on Alyssa’s 5th birthday (if we’re all still here, online), we’ll recall back her birth and all the memories will just come back. Hehez… Oh yeah, off topic but wondering: Jennifer, have you received the money i sent for the domain? E-mail me about it :)

I know exactly what you mean. It’s been over 5 months now, but I still miss being pregnant. You have everyone fussing over you, feeling your belly, it jsut makes you beam with pride. I also really really miss having her move inside of me.

Aww.. you look so good after having a baby a month ago! It took my mom awhile to loose all the weight she put on after having my youngest sister. But it looks as though you are doing SO WELL! :D

I tasted my baby’s formula once and it tastes like chalk LOL. Breastmilk is sweet. So it’s no wonder she doesn’t want formula after tasting breast milk!

Well, just remember all the complaining you did towards the end about being in so much pain and how much you wanted Alyssa out! I know what you mean tho. It was hard to live life not pregnant after I had been pregnant for so long! In a few months, you won’t even really remember what it was like to be pregnant. I don’t anyways.

You look really good, especially for someone who just had a baby a month ago. :) It may take her a while to get used to having any formula with the breastmilk because I’m sure they taste very different.

Aww..I love your baby! She’s adorable! Aww..even though it may not be nice sometimes, but motherhood is amazing isn’t it? Heheh. I asked my mom about that, even though it was hard work she loved taking care of my brother and me

My boards AND site were tossed and turned overnight. Im guessing it’s because the Cpanel changed, or got upgraded. My boards are set back to a date, so alot of the posts are gone, AND alot of members are not members. My site looks like how it looked like about 2 weeks ago.. What’s up with this? And is this gonna happen everytime my Cpanel Changes? And I wasn’t even notified about the changes! Now I have to use my backups which I dont even know if they work.
JEN YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MAD I AM. I MUST PUT THIS HERE BECAUSE I CANNOT E-MAIL YOU BECAUSE MY SITE SERVER AND NETRILLIUM STINKS!

You look great :) You may have more weight to lose yet! I can’t wait for my nephew to be born (my older sister is 8 months pregnant, baby is due around Jan. 8th I believe) Just keeping doing what your doing I guess.

The reason some people lose weight when they are breastfeeding is because you are actually supposed to eat about 500 extra calories a day, b/c breastfeeding is hard work on your body. This is why Iwish I could have kept it up ;)

Gosh, I can’t imagine having a baby right now considering, that I’m still 15. But oddly, I’ve always wanted a baby… I guess this comes from watching too much tv!!! Its great to see that you  Alyssa so much. You’re a great mom!!!

You look good, girl. As for your nipple problem, try rubbing orajel or another tooth numbing medication when Alyssa isn’t feeding. It’s supposed to work wonders.
