Daniel and I did a five hour shopping marathon yesterday afternoon. :whew: First to BK for his paycheck, then to Weis for a Western Union transfer (for me), then to Wal-Mart for presents for my brothers, my mother and his siblings, then to K-Mart in the hopes of finding garland and Christmas lights since Wal-Mart had none, but they were out too, then to Dollar Tree for some ghetto ass dollar store garland and silver Christmas balls, and then finally to a Christmas tree lot for a tree.
By the time we came dragging home, I was exhausted. :dead: I just wanted to go to sleep, but Alyssa was awake and there were lots of shopping bags to sort through, not to mention a tree stand to put together and a tree to put up.
But, not ten minutes after Daniel left for work, Alyssa and I left too, going to two more K-Marts and another Wal-Mart in the hopes of finding lights and garland. But everything was sold out. :ack:
We stopped at my mother’s for a bit, then stopped by Burger King to surprise Daniel with a fresh turkey sub from Subway. :heart: Jessican was there, of course. Hovering around Daniel, of course. Not walking away to give us a bit of privacy as we spoke, of course. :eyeroll: She made a comment about wishing someone would bring her a sub, and it was very hard for me to not say, “Why don’t you go call your baby daddy and ask him?” :eyeroll: I think Daniel should be appreciative of my self-control. :haha:
Finally, after stopping by a laundromat to wash three comforters, a quilt and a bath mat, Alyssa and I came dragging in for good… at 1:00am!
Needless to say, after a quick nursing session Alyssa was out like a light by 2:00am. She slept until 1:20pm Saturday! :shock: Although I feel bad for tiring her out so bad, it was nice to go to bed at 3:30am and sleep until 1:00am. :cloudnine: That kind of sleep is rare!
I’d mention some of the presents we got for my brothers, but I know that Yusef reads my blog at times, so I don’t think I’ll take the risk. ;)
I had an epiphany tonight. Perhaps the reason I’m having so much trouble keeping my milk supply up is because I’m not eating enough. :dammit: Oh sure, I’m getting my daily dose of prenatal vitamin, vegetables, protein, meat and dairy, but I’m not getting any extra/empty calories. In fact, I’m way under the range for calorie intake. I should have at least 1800-2000. For Saturday I had..let’s see… 900… if that.
So, I’m now finishing off some more waffles. I’ve gorged myself on about 900 calories worth of waffles, milk and cheese. I am stuffed. :dontfeelgood: Really, really stuffed.
