Uber yay!

I just got back from the final paperwork & drug test. Yay for peeing in a cup. Uber yay for peeing in a cup and not peeing on my hands in the process. That’s what I call talent! :flirt:
So yes. God is definitely smiling upon me all this week! I know that religion :cross: isn’t something I talk about a lot, but I do believe in God, and I’ve been praying  a lot about this job. I’m very happy to have it. :) Whoo hoo!
Provided they get my drug test results right away (clean, of course. I’ve never put an illegal drug in my body. Actually, that’s not quite true. Domperidone is illegal…in the US. Oops! :haha: ), I’ll probably start orientation on Friday, and if not then, Monday. The pay is decent, and I’ll be doing photo lab as well as guest services, since they’re connected and basically within the same “area”.

P.S. Thanks for all of the well wishes and congratulations regarding my job!

You know, this is like the fourth day in a row now where I’ve had less than six hours of sleep. I know this is all going to catch up to me at some point, and when it does…ugh. :dead: I wonder if I’ll break my sleep record (14 hours + 2 naps, but this was when I was pregnant, so am I excused?).

And to end my ramblings, a few thoughts on driving…

Congratulations on the job, Jenn! I’ve always wanted to work at a Target. :D I  Target!

Eee, your rants are EXACTLY what I always say! I hate the way a lot of people drive.

    Woo for photo lab!

And boo for people who don’t have the curtesy to get over into the slow lane if they can’t even do the speed limit.

  6. Wooh, congrats on the job, it seriously has a drug test? I dont know of a single job around here that involves a drug test, except for maybe a police officer. Though alot of employers have a policy about no drugs while at work etc…

Have fun at your new job… I’m sure it will take you places (eg. advancement, just always do your best!)

Congrats on the Job, you’ll be great! :highfive: Not sure that the customers will be any less terrible than BK, but at least they won’t mistake you for McDonald’s eh. (STUPID IDIOTS! *sigh*) :frustrated:

You have to take drugs tests to get a job in the US? I’m stunned, I think it’s awful that everyone is treated as a crinimal until proven otherwise. I’d be so insulted. That aside, I hope you orientation goes well :D

Congratulations on the job! :) I know I don’t comment anywhere to enough here, but I lurk all of the time :P

Bad drivers are going to be the end of decency on the road those days :eyeroll:

I used to love reading traffic rants because I found them hilarious but now that I’ve got my beginners I find them rather terrifiying.

Do you have to take drugs tests to get any job or only the one you’ve applied to? Good luck!

Well actually tailgating is illegal so y’all are both in the wrong so it would be kind of you to make a move to pass him. More deaths happen from tailgating than from not moveing into the passing lane. Plus you wouldn’t want to get a ticket just to prove a point. ;)

Remember to drive defensively not offensively … would not want anything to happen to you especially now that you’ve been blessed with such a wonderful job!

I’m talented too! When I’ve had to pee in a cup, like most mother’s have had to do, I never peed on my hands.

Aww, congratulations on the job! You deserve it so much. I’m glad to hear you got it.
By the way, I was readingentry about swear words in Spanish, and I can teach you a few:

    pendejo: asshole (pronounciation: pen-deh-ho)
    puto: fag (poo-toe)
    puta: slut (poo-tah)
chinga tu madre: f you (cheen-gah too ma-drey)

    I’m so refined….

What’s domperdime? Lol. That is indeed a mad skill to not pee all over yourself! What did you need the test for? Gah, evil tests. Well, didn’t read about the job in your last blog, but that’s great that you got one and are happy with it!

Congrats on the new job!!!!!! Glad that you got it :D photo lab will be handy if u ever want to print off digital prints or something i imagine ^.^

  22. Congrats on the job! I feel ya on the drug test thing. I start a new job at a daycare on October 3rd and I have to take a drug test plus earlier today I had to go to the police station and get a criminal check done. But it’s all good, because I know I’m not a criminal. :D
Hope you’re able to get more than 6 hours of sleep soon. :)
Hmm…on the driving things. I really hate it when I’m going at or above the speed limit and someone is right on my ass. But I don’t travel the highways a whole lot.
Take care and congrats again! :highfive:

  23. Jessica wrote on #

Well, you should NEVER tailgate, even if you want to pass someone to begin with. I always stay far away from cars ahead of me, especially on the highway if I’m doing any more than 40MPH.

  24. Jane wrote on #

i know exactly how you feel! It happens to me all the time . I think this layouts really good!

  25. Cristina wrote on #

Nor does the ‘NO TURN ON RED’ mean honk at me because I am not turning. Unlike some people I like to follow the signs and not get my ass in trouble or worse in an accident. Man, gotta love stupid drivers!

Congrats on the Target job! I would love to work there!
