If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my brothers and now Alyssa, it is this:
If all is quiet, something is going on – something that shouldn’t be going on.
That lesson didn’t fail me last night, though I did remember it too late. For V-Day 2004 I made Daniel a candy heart-covered photo frame. Well, Alyssa found it, and was sucking, licking, gnawing and chewing at the candy hearts. In fact, she managed to get one off and devour it completely.
Oh well. :shrug: When V-Day comes around this year, I’ll have to remember to buy a box of those nasty little candy hearts so that I can replace the one she ate! :haha:
Where did this weekend go? I can’t believe it’s over! And here I thought I’d spend today relaxing as well. Nope – not happening! Early this afternoon my mother called me and asked me to come over. Amr battled with her huge rose bush and lost – bad. His hand, arm, shoulder and armpit got ripped up bad by thorns (he has rake/drag marks going from his elbow to his shoulder – it’s incredible looking!), and she couldn’t get all of them out. So, Jenn to the rescue. :eyeroll:
But it wasn’t all bad… I got dinner and her mixer (the Kitchen Aid one I’ve been eyeing for quite some time – she’s going to take my grandmother’s to use for herself) out of the deal! :heart:
Ugh. I’m really, really sleepy. :yawn: But I can’t go to bed until I go and get Daniel from work. Damn.
That’s kinda funny what Alyssa did. I’m sure there will be plenty of times she does stuff like that. :laugh: That is a cute frame though!
I love that you took a picture of the evidence, lol. Kids, gotta love em…not that I have any, but my parents have told me :laugh:
Ouch, that’s too bad what happened to your brother. I hope his arm heals up well.
I HATE only having one car and having to wait to go pick Joe up before I can go to bed. I definitely feel your pain on that one :frustrated:

That Kitchen Aid’s great. My mom has it and it works SO well. I love it. :D I love that frame! So creative. You gave me a great idea for Valentines Day presents. :D Yikes, poor Amr. I had the same thing happen when I was like 8 or 9. Hope he feels better soon!
Ain’t that the truth! I always know Angel Jr. is up to something when all is quiet. And more often than not, he’s into something he shouldn’t be. lol. Just be careful. Those candy’s are pretty dangerous for babies. Be thankful she didn’t choke.

Hahaha, you are sooo right dear. Atleast it wasn’t anything serious. And hey, the candies can’t be WAY too bad, even if they did have glue on them. One month til Alyssa’s birthday! How exciting.

Ah I remember once when Charlie ran off in the woods around the lake that I got cut up bad by just branches and thorns and whatnot. I didn’t care at the time because I just wanted my dog back, but now I have scars on my arms from it haha.

One thing I learned from my little one too….Have to keep an eye on those little ones! Luckily when she gets quiet she is debating on whether or not to turn the TV on or off, cause she knows mommy doesn’t like it lol
