One year wedding anniversary

One year ago, Daniel and I held hands, took our vows, placed wedding bands on each other’s fingers, and said, “I do”.
One year later and we’re still as much in love with each other, if not more. We are blessed with a beautiful daughter, and a happy life together. We have our ups and downs – just like any other couple – but we stick together. We are loyal to one another, we care about one another, and we intend on making the best of our life together, no matter what may be thrown our way.

By the way…thank you for all of the anniversary congratulations. …And for all of the well wishes for work! I am really enjoying my :bullseye: job. The store isn’t open to the public yet, but I’ve been busy training with the rest of the photo lab department (which is my supervisor, Mike, and four co-workers). The store employees have been dropping off their film (both regular and digital) all week, so we’ve had tons to do – besides training and learning how to correctly handle the uber expensive equipment (one piece of the computer & printer is worth $20,000! The entire machine is worth around $775,000), we’ve been busy developing film and processing photos.
It’s all really, really fun. I’m so thankful  that I got this job. The pay is great, the benefits are great (I can’t wait to sign up for the 401k. Target matches up to 5%!), the people are great, and the job itself is fun – I enjoy working with computers, and having the chance to manipulate and improve photos, as well as develop them.

This week will be busy. We’re open to employees and their families on Tuesday, and to the general public from Wednesday on, even though our official grand-opening isn’t until the following Sunday (October 9). I can’t believe I’m scheduled for 48 hours. I mean, overtime already? There must be a scheduling mistake somewhere. Oh well… the money :money: will definitely be needed, so I’m keeping my mouth shut and just working! My schedule:
Monday: 8:00-4:30
Tuesday: 1:30-10:00
Wednesday: 1:30-10:00
Thursday: 8:00-4:30
Friday: 11:30-7:30
Saturday: 11:30-8:30

My grandfather is back in the hospital again. :ambulance: He wasn’t doing very well – laying around, missing appointments, not going to his kidney dialysis (he missed three appointments!). When my mother checked on him today, he was unresponsive. She called an ambulance and they took him to the hospital. They need to get his kidneys taken care of, as well as get him stablized (blood sugar, blood pressure, etc.). Sigh. I hope he’ll pull through…

I’m sorry to hear about your grandfather .. I’ll definitely put him in my prayers tonight. It’s so hard when family is having medical problems. It’s so stressful on everyone.

    And congrats on your anniversary!

Sorry about your grandfather. I hope everything gets better with him. I know how happy I was on my (Sept. 25th) anniversary. I was like One year. I can’t believe it. I still don’t feel married, do you? I ask that same question to my husband all the time. :D

    Congratulations on your anniversary! ^.^

Sounds like the job is going pretty good too. They might be scheduling you for more hours now because of training. I know they did that to me at Wegmans when I worked there. Good Luck.

You won’t get your benefits until you hit a year with Target. Same with the 401k.

That’s funny that the store is opening on Tuesday; the new one out here has the same day. However, the reason for it opening is because no store actually OPENS on the grand opening. Must stores will be open to the public, but will not officially announce it until the “grand opening.”

You already have OT because the store doesn’t really have a set amount of hours/payroll. I only say that because I helped out with the new store here, as well as my boyfriends/roommates. They got about 54 hours a week up until today, since tomorrow the store opens, which helps them to base payroll now. Eventually you’ll get less and less hours when the store is open longer.

Don’t get too excited about Target yet. Seriously. I guess I had a horrible experience, or well, a whole year of horrible experience. Your discount is only 10%, and you can only use it with cash or the target visa. i hate that crap. i always have my debit or checks. wal-mart is usually cheaper then target, even though the products are more quality; I’d rather pay a couple bucks less anyway. :worried:
