Today I met my mother for lunch at :burger: BK (Daniel: thanks for the free lunch! :smooch: ), and then I went with her while we ran a few errands. I needed some supplies for Squeaky, and she had some stuff she wanted to get at Wal-Mart (though once Target opens I’m sure she’ll be going there for most things). We get to Wal-Mart, and I noticed a corner of the parking lot roped off, and inside the roped off section a small stage, a few trucks, FM 97 equipment, and a tour bus.
Lo and behold! Hope Partlow was there to perform!
… Does anyone else see the humor in this? A rising artist performing in a parking lot at a Wal-Mart? Don’t even get me started on the objects used to “rope off” the “concert” area. Okay, if you insist. Ready for this? Shopping carts and caution tape. That’s right… Wal-Mart shopping carts and caution tape! Oh boy…
You know, around here, tourists in their RVs usually rope off small sections of store parking lots to use overnight. It looks like Hope Partlow is now doing the same!
My grandfather isn’t doing so well. He’s had a stroke, is still pretty confused and very depressed. At this point it’s 50/50. I’m upset, understandably, but at the same time, if he’s suffering (even though that suffering may be mental more than it is physical) and doesn’t want to live… then so be it. For his sake (if that’s what he wants), I want him to go easily and quickly… rather than waste away and deteriorate day by day, until something finally gives out.

Gosh so many peoples grandparents are not doing so well lately. Including my Grandma who just died a few months ago. I hope everything turns out okay. He sounds like a fighter.
Wow, the Walmart parking lot? Anything to get attention I guess. A year ago Tyler Hilton played at my local mall’s food court (this was before anyone had heard of him) and look where he is now. I’ll be praying for your grandfather. If it’s his time to go, I hope it’s quick and painless, and if not I hope he makes a swift recovery.
Hehe about the “concert”!!! Anyways, wow, I’m sorry to hear about your grandfather!
hope your g-pa gets better. please do well at target!!!!
Free lunches are always great! I am sorry to hear about your grandfather. It’s always very sad when there in this stage. I will pray for him and your family.
Sorry about your grandpa, but I feel the same. If he’s suffering, it’s better off for him to be at peace. I have always felt that way. I wish him the best no matter what happens.
I’m sorry to hear about your grandfather. Lol, wow about the whole “concert” thing. Free lunch, you have to love it.
 I’ve never seen anything like that before, I wonder what that did for her ego.
I’m sorry about your grandfather, I hope that things sway one way or the other for him soon – I know how terrible it is to watch a loved one suffering. You’re both in my thoughts and prayers.
That’s kindof cool about that person performing in the parking lot of Wal-Mart. I’ve never heard of her before. When Britney Spears was just starting out she did a performance in the food court at one of the malls around here. Just something that rising stars have to do I guess. But it is definately weird about the shopping carts and warning tape. :lmao:
I hope your grandfather gets better, but like you said if he does die hopefully it’s painless.
Take care!
