Another milestone.

My baby girl just got her first haircut! Well, in actuality it was just a trim across her forehead, so that her hair isn’t always in her eyes. But still… hair being clipped with scissors constitutes a haircut, does it not? Anyway, being the weepy, sentimental mother that I am, I saved the clippings in a sandwich bag. Note to self: get scrapbooking kit with box ASAP!

Daniel applied for two different management positions. We’re crossing our fingers and praying hard – either of these jobs would be the “break” we’re looking for!

I wrote two posts in two different LJ communities – customers_suck and bad_driving.

And, that’s it… aside from redoing my mother’s bedroom in exchange for two weeks of free babysitting and enjoying my newly arranged living room, I can’t say that my life is really exciting right now.

Edited to add: Wow, two entries in a 24 hour period? Go me!
Edited once more: Damn, I need to adjust the time settings. I forgot about DST!

I save everything, too. My baby book is so thick now with all the crap I’ve added in (baby shower cards, pictures, etc). I guess the baby book wasn’t meant for all that.. but I just add more when I come across it. I think there’s a section to put the first hair pieces in, too. lol

  9. I still have a totally fat bursting at the seams baby book from when I was a baby all the way up until almost the end of Elementry School. My mom kept everything, all “A” assignments, or things I worked hard on etc… plus the famous first hair cut. I swear she cut my bald, concidering there is a whole lot of hair in that envelope.

What works well for a “Baby Book” is getting a 3″ binder, and then using a three hold punch on yearly calandars, on important days in that year you write whatever happeneds, worth recording, or my mom would use the one on the wall, as it even had dr. appointments on it. You can always tape items into the calandar as needed, not as fancy as a “typical” scrapbook, but it gets the job done and is pretty darn durable. As mine has survived 23 years.

    Also, Jenn.
Do you use any tutorials or sites for your css coding? I’m always trying to find new ways to do links (like yours..) But I can never find any.

Angel Jr. has his first haircut a few weeks ago & I made sure Angel picked up every piece of hair that fell to the floor. lol.

Good luck to Daniel with the positions. Keeping my fingers crossed.

My mom still has the clippings from my first haircut. That was well over sixteen years ago! Most moms do save the first clipping.

    Good luck to Daniel!

We still have a lock of hair from my first haircut :) It’s long, too, which makes me wonder how long they waited, haha

Hi. How come you aren’t responding to my emails?

Jonathan was 18 months when he had his first haircut, and he had these curls on the back of his head that I saved in a little baggy to put into his scrapbook. If I remember right, I think my parents saved one of my curls from my first haircut, too. It’s tradition! ;)

  17. Yay for first haircuts. I know my mom still has the clippings from my first haircut. And I’m 25, so that was a long time ago.

*crosses fingers* for Daniel to get one of the management positions. :-)

By the way, have you gotten my email that I sent about a week and a half ago? It was about my domain and whether or not you know of any good hosting companies that take either cash or money orders like you did. I’m only asking that because I know that my domain will be expiring soon and I need to know how to transfer my domain over since you’re not going to be hosting anymore. It’s kinda important. I know you’re busy, but it’d be great if you could get back to me sometime. Thanks! :-)
    Take care. :-)
