Mommy to the rescue!

Before passing judgment on this post, read this.

A mother’s love is hearing your baby’s cries of pain, quickly discovering the source – constipation – and “assisting” with the softest, smallest baby spoon in the house and vaseline. And then, once Baby has been relieved, running to Wal-Mart at two in the morning for oral laxatives and suppositories (“topical” laxatives). All without blinking an eye or begrudging the “duty”.

:)

I’m going to sleep now. ZzzZzzzZzzz…

Waitwaitwait… you did WHAT with the spoon?!

Her poor little butt was stretched wide open as a result of a huge lump of poop that was stuck half in and half out… I had to do something! And I distinctly remember my mother telling me that she did the same for me when I was around her age. So yeah… it was kind of like excavating… and it provided immediate relief for her! – Jenn

Awww.. make sure she eats some prunes or has a some prune juice to work her system back to normal.

Taylor just got over a stomach bug, so I’ve been trying to do the opposite. lol Lots of water and a little cheese here and there.

    Poor babe :( Prune juice!

  9. Eww, but what has to be done, has to be done. I hope she feels better soon. Prune Juice, and lots of Bran (does’nt that make you poop?)

  10. The things we do as parents heh I really dread any future vomitting issues which is so much worse in my gag reflex eyes than poop issues heh. YAY parenthood!

Man, it sucks when your little one is sick. Whenever my son Ian gets the flu..he projectile vomits. Usually on me. :P

My fiance has no idea how lucky he is to be at work at that point. Grr. ;P

A bit TMI for me, but poor kiddo. =[

WOW, I do hope you called Alyssa’s pediatrician before performing this act. It’s very unsafe and can cause even more constipation and tearing.

  25. Jamie wrote on #

Wow. Poor kid. All I can say is wow and tmi :)

I’ve tried twice to join Lavish. Neither time have an activation code been sent to my email addresses (both comcast emails). I’ve tried looking on the boards for help, but it’s set where even the rules you cannot read without being a member–so nothing is helping me since I cannot log into my account. Just letting you know– I don’t know if there’s some sort of issue with comcast emails or something. Thanks!

Oh my gosh, poor you! But that IS love. Reminds me of the Garden State bit, which is not exactly amounting to the same grossness right now, but he tells a story of when he was younger and he was crying his heart out. So his Mom picks him up and he’s just got snot all over his face and she lets him wipe it on her shirt. And then he says, “And you know, THATS love.” Cute.
