I’m at work, and I just received the call that every parent dreads. My seven year old brother managed to shut Alyssa’s finger in a door completely – the door was completely shut.
My mother called, and I could hear Alyssa’s cries in the background, and it really tore me apart. She called the doctor and is getting authorization to take her to the hospital to have her finger checked out.
I can’t leave work, because I’m the only one here. I know Daniel will be with her, as I already called him and instructed him to meet them at the hospital, but I still wish I could be there with her myself.
My poor baby…

Wow, I hope she’ll be okay.
Aw, poor thing! I remember that happening to me when I was a little kid. My mom closed my fingers in the front door by accident. I’m sure she’ll be alright, but I totally understand your concern.
Aww, that’s no fun at all. I know how hard it is to not be able to be there. It tears you up.
Awww. Poor Alyssa.
My sister once shut my pinky in the door.. that was hell.
Well, she’ll be okay. And when she’s older, she’ll hopefully have no recollection of it, haha.
aww! that really hurts! i recall my cousin slamming the door on my fingers and i had bruises on three fingers n i couldn’t move them at all til a couple of days later :-x
Awwww, poor baby. I guess that answers my question in the previous post…
