Daniel has worked several mornings and mid shifts lately, while I have been doing a lot of “later” mid shifts and second shifts. As a result, we haven’t seen much of one another since Tuesday. But we’re making do with phone calls, text messages and cute little post-it notes left in various spots. ♥ Right now the house is very quiet. I worked a long day, and went out for a bit after work with my mother, grandfather and brothers, and by the time I got home Daniel and Alyssa were in bed. There’s nothing like creeping into the house and putting down keys, bags and packages as quietly as possible… and then tip-toeing around the house, not flushing the toilet and washing your hands in the kitchen. I’m rather sleepy myself, and plan to wrap things up and go to bed in just a few minutes.
I found a J Lo Glow perfume, lotion and body wash set for under $20 this evening at a perfume outlet. I’ve been wanting this perfume for quite a while now, but I haven’t been willing to pay over $30 for it. Now to get my hands on some of Victoria’s Secret’s Divine Angels (I want all three scents) for less than $20 (retail price), and I’ll truly be happy!
Ladies, when it comes to trimming and shaping eyebrows, I absolutely have to recommend something like this! When I first attempted (and botched!) fixing my eyebrows, I used wax. Painful, and too drastic – I took off way too much.
Next I tried those little razor blades meant for trimming eyebrows. Ouch – I nicked myself several times, and had rather bad razor burn afterwards. Plus, the blade was too sharp for me to really angle and press with – I didn’t want to wind up hacking my entire eyebrow off. From that point on, I’ve been using tweezers. It gets the job done, but it’s tedious, and has a tendeny of being painful in a “OUCHGODDAMNITMOTHERFUCKER!!!111″ kind of pain with each yank, especially when you’re working at the hairs right below your brow, versus the ones above and to next to.
Anyway. The trimmer is wonderful. It’s painless, and I just used it and so far am not experiencing any kind of razor burn. The blades are the type that are safe to press right to your skin, so I had no fear of drawing blood and went after those nasty hairs with gusto!
The result? Instead of flattish, choppy brows, I have nicely sloped, somewhat angle brows. Yippee!
P.S. You can buy the WAHL personal trimmer at Wal-Mart for $8.00!
Okay, that’s enough babbling for one evening. I had a long day at work, although it went rather quick and uneventfully, except for the one client who called in and spewed about ten minutes worth of verbal abuse at me. Such lovely terms as “incompentent fucks” and “are you listening to me bitch?!” were in the mix. Little did Mr. Fuckface 2006 know that he was on speakerphone so my co-workers could get a good laugh. Ahh yes… I love people like those. Especially because I refuse to get riled up. Nothing pisses off a man like that more than knowing that his ranting, raving, cursing and screaming is not upsetting the person on the receiving end. La di da…
Haha I used to work in Telesales for Sears.. and I LOVED pissing people off. Too bad that’s one of the reasons I no longer work there. Sears didn’t really.. put up with that kind of stuff.
I’m also going to have to try that trimmer thing. I finally went to the mall to get my eyebrows done last week, and the little chinese lady was like “UDO DEM YOUSELF? YOU SHUDNT DO DEM YOUSELF NOMOE~!!!!!” .. so apparently I have to stop doing them myself. 
Oh and by the way.. my account at Lavish has been ‘inactive’ for about a week now and it won’t let me post. It’s making me sad.
Ha, all I have to say is be careful with the trimmer. I went out and bought one of those ones for eyebrows and ended up shaving half my eyebrow off. The girls laughed at me when I went in to have them “fixed.” In my experience, they trim but not close enough.

I haven’t smelled either of those perfumes, but I do know that the Celine Dion perfume and body lotion “Belong” smells really, really, really good! I got some for Christmas, and I love it!
I want to get my eyebrows done. I don’t trust myself to do them myself, so I want to go to the mall and have them done. I used to get them done all the time. There is this new place at the mall that does them by “threading”. I’m not exactly sure what that means, but I’d like to try it once.

I have a trimmer very similar to the one you linked to and it is awful for trimming small hairs like eyebrows. You could easily screw up and shave the whole brow off! I’d rather pay my salon $10 bucks twice a month to get the job done right w/o me almost screwing it up.
Some things are better left to people who know what they are doing.

After years of working in retail I can totally sympathize w/ Ms. Fuckface.. after countless bitchy, and more or less obviously disturbed people making scenes, I’ve learned the ABSOLUTE best and most satisfying thing ever is to simply nod and smile – or in your case since you were on the phone, kill ‘em with kindness, and it will drive them bananas. Ultimately rendering a priceless hissy fit for you and your coworkers to enjoy, and making you look ever-so-professional!

I have used those razors to shave my eyebrows and they do nick you to death. Plus it seems like the next day the hair is back.
I just pay like $7.00 to get my eyebrows waxed at a nail salon. I think waxing is the best for me and it’s over quick. If I don’t do it often I have very thick bushy eyebrows :-/
I have been desperately trying to figure out what to do with my eyebrows! I’m too chicken shit to pluck and I won’t even THINK about waxing. HA. i bawl when my electric razor accidently pulls 1 hair on my legs.
how often do you have to touch it up? daily? weekly?
I used to use the eyebrow razers, I still do sometimes when I need to trim, but that’s about it. Oddly, I haven’t nicked myself at all with it.
Anyways, I was reading a previous entry that you had about using an elastic band on your jeans…I was going to buy this when I *was* pregnant, but now that I mc’d I dont have a reason to…but the url is link.

I’m more of a tweezing girl myself, but I’m so lazy about it that buying a set of those trimmers might be a good idea.
I used to love it when people got angry at me on the phone at work. The best was when I’d tell them that I didn’t have to listen to their crap so I was going to hang up now. They’d get really annoyed and then I’d put the phone down on them.
I use a razor to shape my eyebrows, I gave up plucking AGES ago.

I should probably pick up the personal trimmer.. I hate plucking, and I hate using my normal method of using a razor to shape my brows.. and I am just too damned lazy to get to a salon to have them professionally waxed. lol
You know, I’ve seen that eyebrow shaper and I’ve really thought about getting it, but I’d never heard any comment on whether it was good or not. Now I know, so I will remember that next time I consider getting one.

I hav’nt done anything with my eyebrows in ages, though if I am do to something with them I am a tweezer girl… shaving scares me, and waxing just seems to painful.

After the horrors of child portraits of my hair when I chopped it off I have serious anxiety issues about doing anything to my hair. I have these thin transparent brows but I do need them shaped..and then I have to fill them in
I let the proffesionals do them…and trim my hair lol. I love the new layout you put up

I use wax strip for my eyebrows and the unibrow area. All those things you said about the shaver however, could also be applied to the pubes XDDDD
