Only one day left.

I’m going to make this a rather short blog entry, as everyone in this house – including the cat, who is curled up in my lap (along with the laptop) – is sleeping soundly, and believe me when I say that I can’t wait to join them! *yawn*

I don’t know why, but last week was an exhausting week for me. Believe me, I couldn’t wait until 11pm Sunday night – that immediately began my 64 hours of freedom (aka two days off)! Now it’s 3am Tuesday morning, so I only have a little less than half of those hours left to enjoy. How sad…

Daniel and I went out to Outback Steakhouse Monday evening. It was odd having a Lissy-free evening, but nice at the same time. No worries of getting a highchair, making sure it’s out of the way of other customers, cutting up tidbits of our food for her, keeping plates/glasses/silverware out of her reach, picking up food and napkins from the floor, etc. Instead, we have a very nice, quiet and romantic evening together. ♥

With Daniel’s help I put blonde streaks into my hair (see picture). Only some of them didn’t fade enough, and some were spaced too close together. So… I re-dyed my hair a chestnut brown (probably the most natural color hair dye I’ve ever used!), and later this morning (once I wake up, haha) I’m going to make an appointment to get the streaks put in professionally. *nod*

New layout here at xoxo.nu, some minor changes, stats and things added as well. Enjoy. I’m off to bed.

Haha, I love Outback. And their blooming onion!

  2. Aww.. you and Daniel must have had such a lovely evening. Sounds like it was just what you needed.

I just noticed that your baby’s due date (17/07) is the same as my birthday. How cool is that?!

I know i very rarely comment, but i just had too. This layout is absolutely gorgeous, so much so that it actually inspired me to get off my butt and make a new layout. i was wondering, what font did you use on the header of this layout? I love it. Just got to struggle coding the new layout then i may actually be able to get something new up on my domain, heh.

It’s good that you and Daniel had a romantic evening together. Sometimes you just need to have one.

You hair is too cute. Every time I try to put a lighter color in my hair it turns orange.

Using all that hair dye in a short time span really isn’t good to do during your pregnancy. Especially using a perxiode based dye for your blonde streaks. Next time try using a vegetable based dye, or even Henna.

    I heart this layout. Classy!

When we take Taylor out to eat with us, we can’t put her in the high chair. We don’t even use it at home, so she’s not used to it at all. We just get a small booster seat and sit her next to one of us. It’s “interesting” having her within arms reach of almost everything on the table, but she would throw a fit if we used the high chair. So, I figure it’s a good trade off. lol

Hope you can make the best of your few hours you have left!

Don’t you mean you have three days off? 76= 3 days :) (sorry, I’m a stickler for detail)

I love Outback Steakhouse. Ugh, you have me drooling just thinking about it!

    Hey Lori. :)
The serif font is Georgia, and the cursive is Edwardian Script ITC.

It’s a custom fav icon. :) I use a plugin for Adobe Photoshop (I found the link to it at pure-essence.net) to make my icons. Here is a general site on fav icons: http://www.favicon.com/

Oh good lord – no highchair? Perish the thought! Seriously. Alyssa is well behaved as far as not throwing screaming fits, but I can’t imagine her being so high and close to everything at the table.

  15. This layout is so nice, you’ve insipired me to get working on yet another layout for my new domain… I dont think I am ever going to go live with that thing, just “having to much fun” messing around with it.

That’s fine. I somehow lost my counting skills last night. ;)

  17. Sleep? What’s that?? Ha ha! I’m WAY overdue for a date with hubby. Spending Valentine’s Day in the hospitla while you’re child gets an operation is NOT a fun date!!

We always have to clear over half the table when we’re out with Jordan at a restaurant. I always have to hide the salt and pepper shakers, extra knives and forks etc. because if we don’t let her play with something, she freaks.

I haven’t been to the Outback in AGES! mmm… too bad the closest one is an hour away :(

The extra cuddle time wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t always feel like I was gonna throw up, or everytime he touched my stomach, I felt like I was going to die. =\

I love cuddling, and snuggling, but man he can kick like no other! lol.

Plus it’s hard to lay and snuggle all day when I have to clean, and take care of the animals, and have other responsibilities that need to be tended to. :p
