I removed a few things from the sidebar (to be specific, the top five commenters, top five commented on entries and the last entry & commenter), and that seems to have brought xoxo.nu back up to loading quickly. Sorry about that!

In exactly two weeks at this time we should know the gender of this baby! I’ve been wanting a girl since day one, and Daniel decided a while ago that he wanted a girl as well. He said that having two little princesses (and of course, his queen – moi) appeals to him more than having a little girl and a boy. Even though I desperately want a girl, all of my dreams have been proving the baby as being a boy. Oh well. There’s no use speculating, as we have a 50/50 chance of getting our wish! We’ll find out soon enough.
I’m having a difficult time finding a wireless mouse for this laptop. My criteria:
- It has to be a full size mouse.
- It has to be optical.
- Its transmitter/receiver must be one of those little thumb drives, rather than a receiver that’s on a cord.
- I’d highly prefer anything but Logitech.
- I don’t want to pay more than $35.00 or so for it.
So far I’m having problems with finding a mouse that matches the first four “requirements”. I’ve already checked Wal-Mart, Staples and Target. I’m going to take a run over to Office Max tomorrow, and if I can’t find on there, I’ll throw in the towel and just order one online.
While at Target today I stopped and chatted (and exchanged phone numbers) with several of my former co-workers. I love my job now, but I really miss those people. I swear, with some jobs it’s the people you work with that make or break things.
Anyway, at Target I found a great deal on two long sleeved shirts (bonus – each has a tanktop over the shirt) for Alyssa.
Original price: $7.99
“Clearance” price: $2.00
What they rang up as: $0.79!

In other news, I looked down tonight and realized that I can no longer see my feet. What the flip!? I’m not even twenty weeks yet! I really, really hate to see how huge I’m going to be by thirty weeks or so. *falls over*

Maybe you’re carrying twins! Oh wait, they would have seen that on the ultra sound by now, I guess. You’d still be really happy if it was a little boy right?
I use a Kensington wireless optical mouse. It’s 39 dollars I believe but it’s worth it. Downside is it eats up AAA batteries but no problem for me. Just a suggestion because this mouse is great. And about your new baby, I’m anxious to know its gender!
what happened to the old phrase, ‘as long as the baby’s healthy then it doesn’t matter if it’s a boy or a girl.’?
you know, you really make it seem like you don’t want this baby unless it’s a girl.
christ, maybe you shouldn’t have anymore children if that’s your mentality.
What are you going to do if it is a boy? are you going to love it less?
Samantha, didn’t you know? If the baby is a boy, we’re dumping him down a sewer.
Seriously, get real. A lot of parents (more than your naive little self realizes, I’m sure) wish, hope and pray for a specific gender. But if they’re blessed with the other gender they’re not going to love him/her any less. My husband and I won’t be any different.
Now, due me a favor and shoo. -Jenn
Didn’t you know? If the baby is a boy we’re dumping it in a sewer.
Get real. We can wish and hope for a certain gender, but that doesn’t mean we’ve love the other gender any less.
i’m sure your child, if it is a boy, would feel super if he ever found out that his parents “wished” and “hoped” and “prayed” that he was a girl.
and you know that you’re going to feel disappointed if you find out that it is a boy. what a shame, not even out of the womb and already a disappointment……
Jenn isn’t the only parent on the earth who wishes or hopes for a specific gender, jeez. Get over yourself and quit trying to attack her for every little thing you can attempt to start shit over. My uncle always wanted a boy. He has 5 girls and his wife is pregnant, with a boy. All his girls are daddy’s girls but that doesn’t mean because he wanted a boy from the get-go that he doesn’t love them. Christ.
Oh please. There are plenty of people who wish, hope and pray for a certain gender, but are still just as happy if they wind up with the other gender. It’ll be no different in our case. Of course we want a girl, but will we be happy with a boy? Of course.
Now, I’m done explaining myself to you, so do me a favor and shoo.
I have a weird feeling that it will be a boy. I’m usually right when it comes to these kind of things.
Have you ever thought of shopping at Best Buy? We carry cordless full-size optical mice that connect through a usb adapter.
Until any of you are parents, then you really have no room to speak.
My husband and i WISHED and HOPED and PRAYED to have a girl. Then we found out we were having a boy. And you know what i did?
I CRIED! HAHAHA! *sarcasm*
Honestly, I think just about every mom and dad to be wishes and hopes and prays for a specific gender, and there is absolutely wrong with that.
What DOES matter, is that that child is loved and cared for all the same.
Now, when your time comes to have a baby, you make sure you go and have that uber expensive gender selection process done, so you yourself don’t have to hope and pray and wish that you get the gender of choice *sarcasm*
Jenn, btw, i was gonna bid on your blog space but i can’t find you there? I’ll just assume your blog is still in the approval process.
That’s great that in only two weeks time you’ll know the gender of the baby! Hopefully you’ll get your wish. :-) I’ve always wanted at least one boy and one girl. Don’t know exactly why.
I’m sorry you haven’t been able to find the right optical mouse. Can’t think of any other places that might have them. Hopefully Office Max will. I agree with Jordan, you should look at Best Buy if they have them.
That was a great deal for the tops. I wish I could find cute clothes for myself for only .79!
Take care! :-)
Oh, by the way, have you ever gotten my email about my domain? My email address is the same one I posted up there. I was just wondering, because my domain expires in March. I understand you’re busy but I was just wondering. :-)
I AM A MOTHER klumsi. so don’t assume that since i made a certain comment, that i am not. and when i was pregnant i never hoped/prayed/wished for a specific gender. all i wanted was a healthy and happy baby……
Those shirts are so cute! I am turning green – would you believe I have NO Target near me?
I know you want a girl – but I hope you have a boy! LOL
I’ve got two boys and it’s a trip. Well, aside from the shit they pulled on me yesterday (see blog)
Don’t beat yourself up about the weight gain, Jenn.. you are having a baby!
I feel you, though. During my pregnancies, I was as big around as I was tall… no exaggeration.
And if your child is ever unhappy or unhealthy, will you love it less? No? Will you be disappointed in it? No? Then how can you make the assumption that Jenn will love a boy any less than a girl, simply because she hopes for a girl?
Man, wouldn’t it rock to be able to find clothes for us for $.79?! Soo cute, I love anything with hearts on it.
way to delete my comments jenn. you really are something else. no wonder the people at thedeadend.net can’t stand you, and it seems to be that a lot of people are starting to feel that way aswell. it’s shame, you used to have an almost “cult” like following, but now i’m noticing that you’re starting to receive less and less comments….. delete this is if you want, as long as you read it, than that’s all that matters…..
Oh honey, please don’t get your panties in a twist. Your petty little comments are safely tucked away in the SQL database. In case you hadn’t noticed, I had made a few changes to the comments pages, which included removing the threaded comments. Therefore, any comments that were replies to others (which one of two of yours were, along with a few others) aren’t showing right now. I just haven’t gotten around to fixing that.
Regarding comments, I’m not one to count comments like a little hit whore. Apparently you do, so that’s on you. I have my friends, and they matter more than getting 1004+ comments on every entry. -Jenn

As the domain name suggests, my name is Jenn, and I own this blog. I'm 26 years old and married to my one true ♥, Daniel. And while I have two kids (Alyssa is five, and Ryan is three), you won't find "mommy" in my username or email address, nor does my blog revolve around them. I'm a mother, but most importantly I am me, with a passion for love, blogging, reading, and photography. I'm also a busy freelance writer, web designer & SEO goddess.

I am so curious if it’s a boy or girl too lol.
Those shirts are SO cute! You got an awesome deal on them too.
