Alyssa has been really testing us lately, and while I’m trying to do my part in being consistent with telling her no and taking things away from her, I can’t help but have to fight a smile (or turn away to giggle) while doing so. She’s so damn cute!
- My mother offered her some juice the other evening and Alyssa looked right at her and said, in all seriousness and clear as a bell, “No”.
- She has her little “distraction” method down to a science. She’ll run into the kitchen and knock something down, and as Daniel or I are in the kitchen cleaning up, she’ll make a beeline for one of our computer chairs, using it as a way to climb up onto our computer desks.
- During dinnertime, she’d much rather stick her tongue out at me and cover her eyes than eat her food. But when it comes to eating our food, she pays attention!
My grandfather and I have gotten my mother hooked on CSI. I got hooked on it while I was pregnant with Alyssa, and my grandfather started watching it not long after. Up until a few weeks ago she would roll her eyes and make fun of me for tuning into CSI at every possible opportunity, yet now all of a sudden I notice her watching it and downloading episodes. Haha – we’ve rubbed off on her!
I wound up buying that Logitech wireless mouse that I had seen last week. For $20 it does the trick… even if I’m not that fond of Logitech.
Well, there isn’t much else to say, except for this: dearest blog stalkers, there’s a little WordPress feature called comment moderation. Translation: if your comment contains certain words in it, it’s held for moderation – it appears in the admin area, but not on the blog. Ta-dah! It’s an easy way to keep track of comments without having to babysit this domain 24/7. So enjoy. ;)

I love wordpress, is there anything that this prorgram cant do?
I am totally addicted to CSI. It is on so often, that there is at least two hours of CSI on every night. I love it, though what annoys me is when two differnt networks have it on at the same time and they are differnt episodes. Which series of CSI are you most into? I love the origional (Las Vegas) and sometimes I catch the Miami one. I dont like the NY one at all.
Jordan tries to climb on my computer desk too. Our couch is close enough beside it, and she’s up there at least twice a day.
I haven’t watched an episode of CSI in AGES! I’d feel so lost if I started watching one right now. Boy, do I ever miss it though…

I really wish it would be my mom who watched some american shows – infortunately she don’t undestand english at all – and she is too lazy to read the text – if they are texted at all.
Your kid is so sweet – I can’t wait to have the one inside me to come out! – but I will have to wait until June – and I guess waiting would be for it’s best. I dont think I can force it out anyway.
I always think it is so funny to hear what my first words was – remember writing all the good stuff down. It’s a good laugh when she grows up.
Taylor will not touch any food that she knows/thinks we aren’t eating. As long as it’s on our plates and we’re taking bites of it – she’ll eat it too. So, we’ve got a cabinet full of baby food that will never be eaten… she just eats what we eat, and we make sure to cook foods that are toddler friendly. It isn’t so bad really, it means we’re eating a lot healthier than normal!
I am sure it is good being consistant. I have a hard time doing that when I am babysitting because of the poor face the kids love to make to make you feel bad.
I have never watched CSI but I have met so many people that love it. I should try to watch it sometime.
WordPress is great but i am 0.01% knowing what i am doing on it, thanks to marie she ha helped me out. I never watched CSI I gotta start watching one of these 1 hour long dramas!

Jonathan’s two and a half and still uses distraction to get into things he knows not to. I think it is actually worse now because he’s that much bigger and I’m beginning to think he’s smarter than me, too. It’s such a fun age ;)

I’ve always really liked Logitech. When HJ bought his laptop they gave him a free wireless (not sure if its optical or not) mouse AND keyboard (and printer.. and digital photo album thingy.. and a whole bunch of other stuff for free!). I’ve just always bought Logitech stuff and have always been happy with it
