Okay, so I was wrong… my estimate of Friday evening was way, way off. It’s not as though I was slacking off… it’s just that I never got the chance to really sit down and do much, except a few things here and there. It wasn’t until Monday evening that I really got the time to get a lot done, and then it was only because we had an early dinner and Alyssa went to bed early, and Daniel has been rather preoccupied with some silly Disney video game.
So anyway… the the new layout is up. Of course, let it be said that this layout is a very heavily modified (as in, I completely re-did it using other coding methods) version of unsleepable, which can be found at openswitch.org. I freely admit that dealing with tons of classes and a 20kb+ stylesheet had my head spinning. After several hours of blundering about unsuccessfully trying to tweak and modify the stylesheet, I decided to ditch that effort and remake the theme using tables and my own stylesheet. I know, I know…tables are inferior. I get that, I really do get that. But right now, tables I can deal with. Tables I can understand. And so tables it is!
Blah, I want to just babble on about a certain something… But in the past I’ve found that if I tend to get ahead of myself and blog about a possible exciting thing that hasn’t yet happened, chances are I jinx myself and that possible exciting thing winds up falling through. Therefore, I am going to do my best to keep my big mouth shut until we find out for sure. But oh god, if it does happen… omgwtfbbq!!!111!@$%&!!!
So, I think I’ll just end this entry now, as I’m really tired and the only thing I can think of is wow, how enticing sleep sounds right now. Goodnight!

Tables still confuse me to a certain extent. I’m still in the iframe business. I know, I know, I should keep up. Looks good though :). Well done.
I want to know now! Lets hope it does happen just so you can tell us!
Your layout looks really good, so all that work has been worth it.
Your daughter looks adorable in the webcam shot, if you don’t mind me saying.
It’s looking good, Jenn! I wish I had your patience and determination. ;)
I want to know this exciting news of yours. What can I say? I’m nosey!
I’m sill old school with IFRAMES, too. Haha. Just too darn lazy to figure out anything else at this point when IFRAMES do what I need them to.
You can’t leave us hanging like this! : P
Just kidding. I hope things go well so we can find out what the news is.
I kept refreshing and nothing was happening (I was stuck with the previous layout) but finally when I click to comment, it changes. I hope it sticks!
I wanted to try out this theme, but I didn’t feel like tweaking it after looking through everything. lol I’m so lazy.
Grr, I forgot about that damn security code!!!
Here we go again…
I love how you’ve modified this theme, I tried it out on my site and I just couldn’t get it to my liking. It was frustrating.
Anyway, it looks lovely
I really like it. :D
the new layout looks really nice!
Personally, I don’t really care what kind of coding people use as long as the layout doesn’t look completely effed up in different browsers.
I know some people do, but I’m low-key. No difference to me.
So tables, css, whatever floats your boat doll. It’s looks cute to me.
I love the, apparent, small mods you made to Unsleepable. Nice go.
Captcha, search on bottom, subscription… very nice, indeed.
Is it available to the public? I would love to use it.
;)
Looks good! I feel the same way about messing with someone else’s theme. It just takes too much effort to first figure out what they were trying to do and then figure out how to undo it. It’s much easier to just build your own from the ground up. Anyway, from the look of things around here you know your way around CSS.
