Ever notice on the days that you have the least amount of sleep (3.5 hours, to be exact) you have the most to do? Being that it’s Monday, I made myself get out of bed at 8:00am to start making a lot of the phone calls that need to be made… calls to the utility companies to get things switched over as of June 1, calling my OB in regards to the fun surprises over the weekend (surprise surprise, they want me to haul my butt in there to get checked out at 10:15am), calling the doctor for some other stuff, etc., etc.
Ah well. I’m getting all of this stuff out of the way, and then once I come back from my appointment (provided that they check me out and don’t discover that I’m seriously dilating or that the baby’s head is omg RIGHT THERE GET THE DOCTOR!!!1) I’m heading for a much needed nap. Hopefully Alyssa will have played herself out by that point and will also be ready for a nap. If not? I’ll cry like a three year old whose lollipop was taken away deal.
I think I briefly mentioned Alyssa’s aversion to clothes. It’s not that she doesn’t like clothes. On the contrary, she loves clothes. Especially shoes and socks, because when she sees them she sticks her feet right out for them, because she thinks we’re going out. (It’s only when we don’t that she throws a hissy fit) I think she just gets bored, and decides what else is there to do but pull off her pants? She also undresses herself when she wakes up and we’re not in there right away to get her (but to be fair, most of the time she doesn’t start chattering right away, so we don’t always know if she’s awake or not!). I can’t even begin to count the number of times I’ll go into her room to get her, only to find that she herself is stripped down to her onesie (thankfully she hasn’t figured out the snaps; if so she’d probably have that off too, and then start working on getting the diaper undone), and all of her clothes and blankets have been heaved out onto the floor.
But on the flip side, she loves wearing our things. She drapes ties and shirts around her neck, attempts to put our socks on, clomps around in my heels and flip-flops, and loves wearing hats of any kind.
Okay, I’m off. Since I’m up for the day, I might as well make myself look more presentable, so I think I’ll head to the shower and actually put some makeup on. Toodles!

I hope all goes well at your appointment.
I remember the quick struggle to get all our things in order before we moved here. I hate doing things last minute too.
Jordan loves wearing our shoes around. She assumes we’re also heading out if we’re putting them on and if she’s not in being held by one of us, she starts freaking out.
It sucks to be busy when you’re tired but if you’re not then you usually end up being even more tired from not doing anything. I think that’s worse.
I agree with Jeni.. you could be exhausted but if you don’t do anything then you can’t fall asleep. Our bodies are so strange. Even though Alyssa’s actions may be annoying, you know youll treasure it years down the road ;) just take lots of pictures! she’ll one day ask “mom did i ever dress up…” and you can pull out the pictures ;)
Isn’t it funny that when you are the busiest, is when you get the least amount of sleep? It always seems to happen like that :X
Congrats on your pregnancy with your son! :D I am sure he’ll be a great little boy.
Your daughter is adorable.
♥
That’s so cute that she knows how to undress herself, probley a pain but cute nonetheless. Roberto sean has been doing that for awhile, he even knows how to open his car seat & get out. wait until she starts doing that.
Hope the appointment went well. Could it be baby time ALREADY???
lol @ Alyssa. Thankfully AJ doesn’t take his clothes off like that & hopefully won’t. Although he LOVES being naked, he doesn’t do it himself. He hates socks tho, so the only time they’re on is when we go out. And like Alyssa he always brings me his sneakers so he can go out & when I tell him we aren’t going anywhere…. TEMPERS FLARE! lol.
