Ooo – Blue from Blue’s Clues, also Blueboy, our persian kitty
Ro-o or Ro-ro – Romeo, my mother’s gray tabby kitten
It’s-it – What is it?
I see – Usually accompanied with a finger pointed at whatever it is Alyssa is seeing
Sissy – She’s picked up on my brothers calling me “Sissy” (something they’ve done since they were toddlers themselves; they’ve never grown out of it) and is now doing the same. While I’ll respond, I’ll respond with, “Mommy hears you…” or “Mommy is right here” in an attempt to encourage her to address me properly.
Oh sit – Is translation for this really neccessary? Needless to say, it’s taught all of us to really watch what’s being said, as even the most infrequent slips can be picked up by those ever-so-perky toddler ears!

Awwww! Haha, she is so adorable. And absolutely beautiful with her blue eyes and cute face.
*giggles at “the sit”* – when my cousin was about three (she was a late talker) her mum poured her a glass of milk and a few minutes later, she spilt it. “oh no,” she said. so she tried to pour herself another one, and split the entire bottle
“oh no, shit!” she said. *laughs*
I think Tay doesn’t know *what* to call the guy who does Blues Clues because he changes during the day – Steve in the morning, Joe (it’s Joe right?) in the afternoon. Blues Clues and Backyardigans are like .. her shows. lol The only ones she’ll stop for a few minutes to watch.
your daughter is ADORABLE! we have the same 1st name (hehe) i looked at your referal sites and I registered and I’m now trying them….i put them in my blog (and used your site for reference) so check it out if you want to see
how much did u pay for your .nu domains? where did you purchase them from? also how do i place a picture in the comment box? i think thats so cute.
Sexy Biatch = Steve from Blues Clues today as an indie rock GOD. My lord, he’s a beautiful man.
Aww, that’s sweet… I once called my mom aunt, because hey, that’s what all my cousins called her. ;D It’s amazing how fast kids pick up certain words and phrases.
I have a cousin that likes “sithead”…so, yeah, we have to watch what we say. Anyways, those words are so adorable. Oh, if only you could catch them on an audio recorder!
Awwww. New words are always so exciting… even the “oh sit” one’s. lol. I guess it can’t be much worse than AJ saying “die”. hehe. They definately pick up on things, that’s for sure.
how cute… its funny how kids wont say the things you repeat over and over but the one time you slip up they pick that up right away.
That is so adorable. I know it has got to be so much fun to watch your daughter do the things she does. Little kids can be really funny if you actually watch them.
hehe cute. TV teaches so much
Yes, you had better watch what you say! Don’t want her learning bad words so young!
Hahahaha My littlest brother used to say, ‘Oh sit!’ It’s so cute. I think they pick those up because of the emotion behind them. Nobody in my family really says the F word except my older brother and my youngest brother picked that one up too, and it wasn’t like my older brother was going around saying it all of the time- it was that it’s said with strong feeling so he attached himself to it.
I also think it’s cute that she calls you Sissy. I know you want her to call you mommy (and it’s understandable) but it’s still neat. Most kids don’t call their moms anything but mommy ; )
Haha, I giggled at the Osit one. It actually took me a while to figure it out, I was like “yeah, its not surprising that she says Oh, sit (I thought she actually meant for you to sit down xD!) She does seem very adorable though. Maybe try having your husband call you “Mom” or “Mommy”? Maybe it will enforce the Mom usage
Aw she’s a doll! lol babies are like sponges; they soak up everything around them! I agree with sara – if she could pick up ‘sissy’ then maybe the mom thing will work.
Aww how cute.. your little girl is adorable…. Hey, I have a question. And I tried emailing you but you never respond. My domain, rebeccamatasaru.com, is down.. how come? Thanks!!
Aww she must sound so cute! I hink kids pick up the bad words quicker than the good ones lol
Its so fun to be around them when they say things like that or words like yellow and or hospital.
aww! she’s growing up so fast. lol @ the last one! haha thats actually quite cute!
Aww, thats so cute. I was an extremely late talker and my mom told me that when I was little, I’d go around saying “Oh shit,” everytime I did something wrong.
When my son was around that age, he called his toy vacum cleaner an asshole, well thats what it sounded like. They always pick up on the bad words first.

BLUES CLUES IS THE SHIT! i wish that could have been my first word lol
