Break out the AC!

As usual, with June being just around the corner, summer seems to have rolled its butt in out of nowhere. Seriously… last week the temps were in the high 40s to low 50s at night and up in the 60s during the day time. Today’s estimated high? 84. WTF? Talk about summer jumping up and slapping you in the face with its hotness (pun intended). But blech, humidity. And blech, July will be worse yet. And blech, our new house does not have central air, and we only have one window unit. *cry*

Speaking of the house, our move-in date may be pushed back a week. The development managers have not been able to get in touch with the flooring/carpet guy. Until he does the flooring and carpeting, they can’t do the doors (bedrooms, closets, bathrooms, front and back doors). They also can’t put the new appliances (washer, dryer, fridge) where they belong. They also can’t put the new sink in because that can’t be done until the kitchen is put back together, and that can’t be done until the floor is in… yeah, see a pattern here? Pfft. Ah well, the one good thing is that moving in a week late means saving over $125 on June’s rent. So yes, it’s good and bad, depending on how you look at it.

It’s stressful though. I’m now 32 weeks pregnant, and I feel like a big, waddling time bomb, just ready to go boom. Once we get the move-in date we need to reschedule as far as renting a large truck and getting in touch with the “movers” (aka hubby’s brothers). And even once we get everything moved in we still have two bedrooms to paint, and possibly the dining room (the development managers might leave that to us in order to get us moved in sooner, which is fine with me because I want to do the dining room in a light yellow, rather than the plain white they’d put up) as well. And I have a house full of laundry to do then. Seriously. It may just be a stupid pregnant nesting thing, but I want to wash all of the clothes that were hanging up in the closets all the time, as well as all of the bedsheets, bedskirts, curtains, blankets, etc.
Blech… so yes, we’ll certainly be kept very busy these next few weeks!

Happy 19 months to Alyssa:

Alyssa: 19 months

And Happy 32 weeks to myself & baby-to-be:

Edit @ 12:03pm
Because I’m bored (and because hubby and I want to take the time to figure out where to put all of our furniture and things before we’re moved in, simply because we’re anal like that), here’s a floorplan of the house: Click!

I know what you mean. The summer is coming up rather fast, isn’t it!? It’s supposed to be in the 80s here all week. I understand we’re not very far from each other either. :P

32 weeks!? Baby shall be here any time now.

BTW. Thanks for the Happy Birthday wish! :)

Wow.. first of all, Alyssa is so cute :) and wow, humidity is horrible. Thats why I live CA, it can be hot, but no humidity!
For the house, I really love how many windows there are, it seemsl ike every room has two. That just makes everything seem bigger. The whole plan/layout of it is very functional, too! Maybe I’ll sleep on a design idea and then scan it in (oh boy, interior decorating *claps*)

And you need to think of a baby name! I know they have ones with thousands and thousands of names, and you can search for certain letters and such. maybe get a few things daniel really wants, and you really want, input it, and see what happens!

Everytime I see her, she looks cuter and cuter :). I hope baby stays put for you while your moving and I hope that gets sorted out soon. I hate moving house but I feel so much better when its all done. I hope I don’t have to move again this year.

Aww Alyssa certainly is growing up. Doesn’t time fly? It’s hot here too. I hate the heat. The floor plans looks cool though. You must be so excited!

It would indeed be helpful to get some dates sorted out, so that you can figure out things on your own end. I hope things work out smoothly with both the move, the cleaning required with said move.. as well as the baby. =]

Lol, 84 sounds like a blessing, try 100+

  16. Your floorplan is really functional looking. I’m sure you’ll have a blast decorating it how you want and such. Dont over work yourself though, leave it to the men. lol! Only time you can use that excuse with out being frowned upon.

I know you hav’nt quite picked out a name yet, but what do you think of the name Shawn, or Sean. The name fits nicly in with the rest of your family members names. (Daughters, yours, and your husbands) …

Hey, you’re from around the same part of PA as me! I spend my school year 20 min. away from [private] City, and I spend my summer and holiday’s an hour from [private] City.

Your floor plan looks really liveable. I really love organizing and planning out that kind of thing. My college gave me a floor plan of where I will be living next year, which naturally led my roommate and I to spend about 4 hours deciding where all of our furniture and stuff will go.

That’s so cool, your house layout is the exact same as my old house! That’s pretty freaky actually!

Jeez, the last time I was on here Alyssa was only a few months old – how time flies!

Congrats on the second baby! And Alyssa looks absolutely adorable! ^_^”

I completely understand what you mean with the heat. Here, during the day, it’s completely hot and humid. At night? It’s cold and down to the 60s, making me shiver in my blankets when I wake up. Arg.
