Dear Ryan,
You turned two months old today! I can’t believe how quickly time is flying… on one hand, it seems like you’ve always been here, you’ve always been a part of our lives. But on the other hand, it seems like you’ve just arrived. But no matter – the time may be going by quick, but your father, sister and I are enjoying every single moment of it.
Now that you’re awake more, your personality is really starting to shine through. You’re such a happy baby – your sister was a little black raincloud (you can thank your grandmother for that lovingly bestowed nickname) compared to you! You’re always smiling, and you’re beginning to laugh (especially when we tickle beneath your chin), though no sound has come forth with it yet. Your smiles literally go from ear to ear. I love how your nose wrinkles when you smile, and your father adores the way your eyes crinkle up.
You’re cooing, gurgling, bubbling, humming, sighing, and squeaking. I think I like the squeaks the best.
You still nurse wonderfully. Some of our closest moments are during the early morning hours, when I bring you into bed with us. You snuggle right up against me, being sure to clamp a hand onto my top or in my hair. Nursing is the only time you’re rather still, with the exception of your jaws working and your feet wiggling. Any other time? I swear, there’s always some part of your body on the move!
Sleeping is going great. You’ve got yourself into a bit of a routine now. You go to sleep between 11:00pm and 1:00am, wake between 7:00 am and 9:00am to eat, and then you get up again by 11:00am. You’ll eat a bit more, get some play time in (which for now consists of us holding up toys for you to bat at), and then take an early afternoon nap in the swing. Then you’re on the go for most of the evening, and before we know it it’s time for bed again!
You’re also continuing to grow quite well:
Head circumference: 16 inches
Length: 24 inches 85th percentile
Weight: 13 lbs. 79th percentile
I love you darling. Happy two months!
Love,
Mommy

Wooh, it’ has been two months, where has the time gone?
I love the new pictures, they are adorable. I really like the middle one that shows his curly-q hair pattern, it is cute!
Jenn darling. I think its about time to disable direct linking. Seems you have some bandwidth thieves. Not only are they stealing bandwidth, but look at what they’re saying about you. Not too nice. heh. I’ve been bashed as well. You’re not the only one. [Click]
I can’t believe its already been 2 months either. Time really flies.

He’s too cute! If you’re ever in my area of the country, swing by Phoenix for some portraits…
Was Alyssa that bad?
He looks like his daddy in that last picture. I don’t care what anyone says, I still think he looks adorable
It is so sweet that you write your children a letter on the special days! If I were your child I would be so happy to read them when I got older. Ryan is amazingly cute!
Aw he’s so cute! I can’t believe that it’s been 2 months already. That means Memphis’ turn is coming up. That makes me sad. Our babies are growing up!
Philip: that is such as… wonderful letter…
Chette: Your child is sure blessed to have a mother like you, I can’t wait to have a child of mine… on my own hehe
Oh my gosh those pictures are adorable. He is such a cute baby.
That’s so cute. Congrats ^^
I LOVE that third picture. What a smile!
As was mentioned above.. I can’t believe it’s already been two months. Time is passing by so fast!
Those pictures are adorable! ;) It’s funny..before I had my son, I wasn’t really into babies or thought they were cute at all. Now I’ve been a mom to him for 7 years & going to have my daughter soon.. I gush over babies! & I think it’s cute you write him letters like that. I’ve done the same thing for my son over the years.. in my paper journals.
you and daniel make THE most beautiful babies
