Kitty is actually six weeks old. He was born on August 26th, 2006 (exactly one month after Ryan was born!) at 2:31am. Emily, the owner of the mother and father cats and the kittens, really kept details. He’s been to the vet, but hasn’t had shots yet. He’s healthy, has a nice kitten belly, and is very playful. I asked her why she was adopting them out at only six weeks, and found out that the mother cat weaned the kittens about two weeks ago, and they transitioned them slowly to baby cat food (which I then ran and bought). Between the mother cat weaning early, and Emily and her husband getting ready to move, she felt it best to adopt the kittens out now, rather than stress them (and herself) with moving and then again when it came time for adoption.
Right now Kitty is sleeping. I gave him a bath (I’m not sure what the dirt on his legs was, but it’s gone now!), gave him his baby cat food and kitty milk, water and a shallow pan of litter, and he and his things are now tucked away in the bathroom. I put a night light in there, along with a just-from-the-dryer bath towel, so Kitty should be able to eat and relax comfortably.
I wonder what Daniel will name Kitty. When I brought Goliath home he kept going on about the name Juno. So maybe this one will be Juno? Or Gummi Bear… we joked that we would get a cat and name it Gummi Bear.
Anyway, I’m off. I have a toddler to bathe, a baby to feed, a dishwasher to unload and then reload, laundry to fold, a scrapbook to finish, and maybe then some dinner for myself. Toodles!
*sigh* Kittne bellies are some of the best things in the world. It’s like a tiny, furry little Buddah.
Clearly I can’t type anymore, as that second word was meant to be ‘kitten’.
The kitten is adorable, but you didn’t tell us Dan’s reaction when he saw it!

He looks like a “Milo” to me. Hmmm….I don’t know…for some reason the name Milo came to my mind when I saw him. He is eally adorable. I just love kitties…too bad hubby is allergic.
