Whatever happened to the days of everybody playing nice? Whatever happened to the mantra of, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”? Any more all I see is drama, drama, drama. And I’m not even referring to Chanel throwing her little hissy fit over mothers who have the audacity to blog about their children (the horror!). Nor am I referring to my lovely little stalker, the one who “reports” on my blog entries as if they’re breaking news (thanks for making my life seem so exciting! ;) ), makes up his own little assumptions and opinions and churns them out as facts, and gathers my photos to store on his server and broadcast to his very small circle of “friends”. I use that term loosely because I’ve seen them turn on one another as easily as they do other people… that doesn’t sound like a true “friend” to me.
No, I’m talking about people in general. All these message boards, blogs, hate sites… all this crap dedicated to insulting and ridiculing others. There are communities on livejournal dedicated to “snarking” people over anything you can think of – their cooking skills (or lack of), their lack of talent, their parenting skills, political views, etc.
Whatever happened to just playing nice? Nowadays I really feel like I was raised a lot differently than these people. I was raised to be a good, nice person, and to treat others with respect. Never was I instilled with values such as disrespect, scorn, hostility and malice. As I see this crap happening, over and over, in all sorts of online communities and forums, I can only shake my head and wonder what the hell went wrong.
Unfortunately I do not beleive there is an explanation to all the drama. All the people who generate the drama are doing it for their own personal gratification, and they themselves most likely don’t know why either. There isn’t anything we can do, but shake our heads and watch it all happen. I have to admit, at times I wish I was as cool as you that I had people following my every move ;) haha
I don’t understand what’s happening to people. I remember when people weren’t so mean.
That bitch is ignorant thats all. She got serious isses and need a reality check real fast. It’s ok though Jenn karma is a bitch and it’ll get her stuck up ass. She’s a loser.
I don’t get why people are so mean, perhaps it is because they feel it is the only way to make themselves superior? What ever it may be the world is screwed up enough without them.

People that are miserable in their own lives like to make others look bad. It’s just an attempt to make themselves feel better. It’s really quite sad, and all too common, in real life as well as online.
Ugh don’t pay her any attention. Someone should redirect her to that thread on bebedawl boards where she fucking STOLE a poem and claimed it as hers. But of course, she wouldn’t dare say that now would she?
I think the utterly disgusting hate, etc we see online is because people feel they are hiding behind a machine, so they can say as they please. Doesn’t make it right, or acceptable, just goes to show that alot of what we see face to face is just a front sadly.
