Aren’t I the lucky one?

While breastfeeding full-time most mothers do not ovulate and do not have menstrual periods. Liar, liar, pants on fire! Boy Child gets the boobs 24/7 and my period returned eight weeks after I had him. I ovulated a week and a half ago. And here I am today starting another period., exactly twenty-two days after the last one. What gives, Dr. Sears?

It's been a fun morning. After not quite six hours of sleep, I grungingly give up the hope that Boy Child will miraculously hush and go back to sleep. So up I go. After being greeted with one of Mother Nature's nasty little surprises, I'm greeted by another reeking from Boy Child's diaper region. There's nothing like a poop-splosion to start off the morning. Luckily, his diaper managed to contain most of it (a miracle in itself), so I didn't have to strip him down – smearing yellow goo all up his chest and back in the process – and bathe him.

I have laundry waiting for me, but I really don't feel like doing it. I'd much rather sit here, feed the boy child, watch court TV shows and blog. But it's kind of nice to have clean clothing, so I guess I'll go do it. Besides, the cats are currently making off with the socks. Rather than spend the next week finding socks stuffed under furniture, in things and behind doors, I'll go put an end to the fun and clean the damn clothes.
