Dear Ryan,
Today you turned five months old! This last month has just flown by. And through all the stress and excitement of the holidays you’ve been a real trooper – no fussiness, no erratic sleeping, no nothing. You’ve been perfect.
Now that you’re five months old, the push to start solids has begun. From the doctor, from different people, and from your grandmother. As a “test” run we offered you a teensy bit of rice cereal mixed with breast milk on my finger, but you just spit it out and gave me a really pissy look. So for the time being, we’ll stick to simply breastfeeding.
You have wonderful head control, and you can sit up with help. You roll from side to side, and from stomach to back. You’re working on rolling from your back to your stomach, mainly by arching and twisting your back. Don’t worry – you’ll get there! And from there on it’ll be a breeze, and before I know it you’ll be walking!
