Oh yes. Dinner consisted of homemade pancakes (the best pancakes are the ones made from scratch, and the recipe must include sour cream!), bacon and scrambled eggs. Of course, what would have made our meal even better would have been non-burned pancakes. See, as most people know, you have to set the burner temperature just so in order to get a perfectly fluffy golden-brown pancake. And I had the temperature set just so. But Dan got the brilliant idea to “assist” with cooking. His idea of assisting is to take one pound of bacon and throw it in a big squiggly wad into a large frying pan. Never mind the fact that the bacon never cooks properly since half of it isn’t quite touching the pan…
Anyway. Every time he’d go back to the stove to check on his bacon he would fiddle with the knobs on the stove, seemingly trying to get a better temperature for his bacon. BUT. He kept fiddling with the knob for my burner. You know, the burner that was set at just the right temperature. Le sigh. I made him eat the three burnt pancakes.
My lower back really, really hurts right now. It hurts even more since Dan sprayed cold water at me – of course my instant reaction to cold water hitting the back of my shirt is to arch my back inwards away from the spray. Cringe. What the heck did I do to it? And I have a headache. And I’m tired. And last night I just threw up out of nowhere, but of course Mom mode never stops… before getting sick I made sure Ryan was laying safely in his crib and Alyssa was set in front of the television with a movie. But to no avail… Ryan started crying, and then Alyssa came in and patted my head and rubbed my shoulders as I was on my knees in the bathroom.
I really think a lot of this has to do with the weather… nothing but rain and fog.
Okay, time for a movie. I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday evening.

I love pancakes… and now I want some, lol.
The weather effects my moods and body. Today I was sooooo super lazy, I just wanted to lay on the couch all day and relax.
I hope your back feels better soon, that’s the worst
Pancakes sound so nummy, I just got this urge to go make some but… I won’t. The weather here is horrid, nice ice storms.
Pancakes sound really good right now… mmmm
I hate the winter time its so gloom and just ruins the mood to do anything really active or fun… I cant wait until spring! I hope you feel better!
Also love the new domain!
