Pass the ibuprofen

I am so sore. I just want to curl up somewhere with some hot packs, some cold packs, and lots and lots of ibupfrofen. Shoveling out our large driveway was bad enough, sledding down an icy slope and landing on the bare driveway only added to the aches and pains, and then shoveling out my mother’s walkway and driveway yesterday just added insult to injury. This hell-snow is just… hellish. It isn’t even really snow. It certainly can’t be shoveled out. Dan used a hatchet and large spade shovel to chop up the hell-snow into igloo building sized chunks, which I then scooped out with the shovel, or picked up with my bare hands.

Dan is aching just as bad as I am, if not worse, since he pushed our stuck car out more times than I did. FYI, vehicles are a lot heavier than they look. Even when we pushed together we had a hell of a time getting it moving.

Yet somehow we managed to have sex yesterday not once, but twice. God knows where the energy for that came from, because right now I can barely move without wincing. :P

Ryan is still with my mom, having a grand old time. I’ll go over there in a bit with some more pumped milk and mashed bananas and apples, but I may let her keep him another night for us. We still have a few more movies we want to watch (The Brothers Grimm, Casanova, The Ice Harvest and Wedding Crashers), and the idea of having another night of eight or nine hours sleep sounds heavenly.

Oh how I wish it was me. 9 hours of heavenly undisturbed sleep or what else we might could do without interruption. I still don’t trust her with anyone for a a entire night yet though… Sometimes I think my kid could need a break from me as well.
