Just what the heck is the significance behind “420″!?
An ever repeating incident comes to mind when I hear/see/think of “420″ – working anywhere that involved being behind a cash register, and having the customer’s total come to $4.20. Upon seeing the total and/or hearing me say, “That’ll be $4.20, please”, I would be greeting with peals of laugher, that dumb Beavis & Butthead impersonating laugh (you know the one), and comments of, “har har… she said 420. Dude, look, it’s 420!” At which point I would want to leap across the counter, slap the numskull on the other side, and then tell him to kindly choke on his french fries.
