Hobble, hobble

I just managed to get a sock and a sneaker on. Now I need to get my ass down to the car (nothing like trying to navigate icy steps with one only one good foot!) and over to the house, because the water guy is going to be there at 9:00am to turn the water on.
I didn’t want to be out of bed this early, let alone trying to go somewhere, but Dan can’t be up at 8 and doing this and up with the kids later so I can nap, because he has to work tonight. So, pain and hobble and driving it is. At least when I get back I can go pass out until about 2:30.

I didn’t get the opportunity to stay off of my feet for more than ten or fifteen minutes until nearly 11pm last night. As a result, my toes and left side of my foot were throbbing very painfully, and swollen beyond belief. Once I was able to sit and relax, I didn’t move from the chair until after 1am. :P

Aw, I hope your feet feel better. It stinks when life doesn’t slow down so you can rest, doesn’t it?

  2. I hope you have a tensor bandage on your foot, that can help. :)

You’ll feel lots better once your fully moved into your own home. Then there is no need for this early rising business, except to stay within the walls of your house. :)

It’s so hard not being mobile, especially with two kids and a move coming so soon. I hope you get some relief!

Yeah, if my foot was swollen and throbbing, I wouldn’t be doing much of anything. Power to you for having the strength to get all that stuff done!

Maybe you should go to the ER and get it checked out?

You need one of those boots. They gave it to me when I tore my foot bone and was hobbling like you are. It just relieves the pressure so well that you can do just about anything.

I’ve known others who broke ankles and feet that have used them and they are the same way. I even know others who just borrow them when they hurt themselves if it’s not a major thing.

I’m not saying you should not get checked out, but ask around and see if anyone has one it could help get you through this moving period. and you can always lysol the crap out of it and sanitize it and all that good stuff. IF you have socks and pants on it’s not a biggie but I wore mine in the summer so I hesitate to let anyone even look at it.
