Addendum to this post: while cleaning the blender yesterday evening, I managed to impale the skin right above the cuticle of my right middle finger on one of the blades. Amazingly, it didn’t hurt too badly, but it bled like I nicked an artery.
I spent most of the day getting rid of the last of the unpacked stuff in the living room. Instead of taking the time to put things away, I just grabbed whatever didn’t belong in the living room or kitchen and dumped it all on the table. Freeing up the living room to walk around in is a definite plus.
When Dan got home from work tonight we went around the house hanging pictures, cute little wall hooks in the kids’ rooms (blue stars for Ryan, pink flowers for Alyssa), Alyssa’s letters (they spell out her name), her “Wee ones to him belong” cross (a gift from my mother), Ryan’s growth chart, and this fancy wall hanging tapestry bell… thing. I don’t know what it is, but Daniel’s grandmother had it for as long as he could remember, and he wanted to have it here. Fine by me.
I just finished watching Silent Hill (gore, ew) and registering my appliances (*insert yawn here*).
I was in a bit of a hurry when I made this photo post, and didn’t quite realize just how funny this picture of Ryan is:
I was playing around with the macro settings on my camera. These aren’t the best examples of macro photography (okay, nowhere near it), but I’m still pleased with how they turned out:

Haha, that picture of Ryan is priceless. It really makes me smile. And I like those pictures of your cat. Macro settings are super fun. I’m glad you’ve been able to unpack a bit more.
That picture of Ryan is SO FUNNY. He’s already got a great sense of humor! ;)
As I was leaving the house for work this morning I was halfway listening to/watching something on TLC about a couple named Jennifer and Daniel who’d just had a baby… only the baby’s name was Paul. I thought it was funny.
I just got a new digital slr and haven’t had the chance to mess with it too much, cos I haven’t really had anything to take pictures of… but yours look nice. What kind of camera do you have?
Heheh that picture is so cute, and I love the kitty photos too.
I adore that picture of Ryan. You should print that one out and keep it to embarrass him in the future. Hah I’d make such a cruel mother, wouldn’t I?
