So many things that we need and want, and only so much money… we applied for a loan approval for central air, as we will roast in this place otherwise. We do have two window units, but the one that goes in the living room would require us paying an electrician to put in a 220 line. And we would still need two more window units for the kids’ bedrooms. So we’re looking at $400 vs. $2000 (financed). Bad efficiency, leaky windows, and bulky units vs. quiet, very efficient central air conditioning. Yeah… I hope we get the approval and can get the central air!
Fancy curtain rods for the kids’ rooms, light filtering and/or room darkening curtains for Alyssa’s bedroom, hand sprayer for the current faucet, or a new faucet, floor mats for outside the front and back door and inside the front door, since you come in to the living room and it’s carpeted. Medicine cabinet or over-the-toilet cabinet ASAP. Longer hose that can run from the dishwasher, behind the cabinets and right into the plumbing, so I don’t have to keep shoving the kitchen table out of the way in order to use the dishwasher. Motion sensitive flood lights for the driveway and shed. Etc., etc.
We’re making a list and definitely checking it twice. For now we’re putting things in order of price. Once we reach the items that are costing $50 and up, we’ll start judging what we really need (or want) more, what can be put off, etc.
There is a six year old boy next door. He comes over every day. “Are the big tids dere?” Amazing kid-dar this kid has… my brothers came over one evening before we even moved in, and this kid picked up on it. He knows about Alyssa, but doesn’t seem to understand that she’s too little to play with him. I think I’ll have my brothers over for the weekend. My mom would enjoy the break, and the three kids would enjoy having new playmates.
For shits and giggles I watched Maury earlier. Now, something about these dumb bitches and even dumber guys on there really gets me… why on earth are these men automatically forgiving and hugging and kissing these cheating wenches when it turns out the kid is his? The fact that your sperm happened to beat the other guy’s in fertilizing the egg doesn’t change the fact that the bitch cheated!
“Rome wasn’t built in a day” something my mother told me a while ago. Easy for her to say. It’s so frustrating wanting to get things accomplished within your budget. I’m a very impatient person, I want things N-O-W!
I looked at faucet’s at Lowes because I want a sprayer too. I want a whole sink that’s new. I love those ceramic ones. But anyway the whole entire sprayer and all isn’t that high. If you could get one on sale you’d be even luckier.
I’m a big whiney butt that wants things now and then the moments pass and I really slack off on it. If I’d just do it all periodically I’d be well ahead of the game.
Central air is so crazily priced but you don’t realize how effective it is until you’ve switched. I remember first moving into Joeys parents and they had window units and they switched to central a few years ago. The difference is incredible so I reallllly hope you guys get approved for it also.
As far as Maury, I fully believe it’s mostly staged. I mean, there really can’t be that many idiots out there…right?
