Alyssa’s bedroom is 99% finished. Dan finally finished the trim, and I’m working on cement gluing little sparkly butterflies up along the ceiling all around the room.
Ryan’s bedroom is completely done, and I love how it turned out.
What is up with this crazy weather? From cold to hot, hot to cool, cool to warm, back to hot, “threat” of cold which turns out to be mildly cool, etc., etc. No wonder Dan and I have colds. We never know how to dress or whether to cool or warm the damn house! Grrr.
It was really nice out today (Monday). About 70, sunny, light breeze… I took Alyssa outside and let her ride around on her tricycle. We went all the way down to the main road and back (about a half a mile round trip), though on the way back she got tired (“Mama, legs tired!”), so I wound up carrying her and the bike.
I’m really beginning to think that Persian cats are nothing more than live accessories. Think furby, but something a lot more realistic, and found in the home decor department rather than the toy department. The Persian cat meows, he purrs, he snuggles, he enjoys being petted, he eats, drinks and uses a litter box, but that’s it. He doesn’t run. He doesn’t jump. Or play, or roll around, or even really interact with the other cat in the household. He just sits around looking pretty, and does a fairly good job of being color coordinated with the furniture.
Anyway, now that I have stayed up way too late (I was hoping – in vain- to catch one of the rare $1000 opportunities and solve some of our current financial stresses!), I’m going to bed. Goodnight!

Ryan’s room turned out lovely. Alyssa’s dress and bike are a cute combo. I had a red tricycle once upon a time. I’m loving that chair. Kitty’s adding the perfect touch. I’m going to be realistic and hit the hay myself.

The weather here is really crazy too, although in the past couple of days it has leveled out a bit more. This is really the only time of year that I think Florida is mildly pleasant. It’s not quite up to horrible summer temps, and it’s still a little chilly in the evenings.
Ryan’s room looks so good and I can’t wait to see Alyssa’s! I’m sure it will come out great!
One of my cats is a Maine Coon mix and he’s a lot like Blueboy. Sits around looking pretty. The only difference is that when one of the other cats disturbes what we like to call his “fancy barrier” he typially hisses and swats. Other than that they could be the same cat. I LOVE that chair, by the way.

I just noticed that he and Dylan have the same Winnie the Pooh pop-up hamper thing. :D I did Dylan’s nursery in Winnie the Pooh also. Great job on the decorating! The curtains are so precious.
LOL I agree about the flat-faced kitties.
They usually just hang out and blend in nicely with the furniture and if they’re in the mood – they might come out and socialize every now and then.

Ryan’s room is adorable! It sounds like you’re experiencing a bout of Wyoming weather. Today? Mild flip-flop weather. Two days ago? Blizzard. When it varies between 20 and 60 daily you just kind of learn to wear a hoodie everywhere just in case, lol.
