Recently Alyssa learned that it is polite to tell somebody, “Bless you!” when they sneeze. She takes this a step further and says, “Bless you!” when you sneeze, cough, clear your throat, grunt, or breathe weirdly.
Dan and I are getting over a cold…thing… which involves lots of sneezing, coughing and throat clearing. Imagine hearing, “Bless you!” after every. single. sneeze, cough, and throat clearing. She’ll come running from the other end of the house just to say, “Bless you!” And she’ll keep repeating it, making sure to emphasize who it’s directed to (“Bless you, Mama!”, “Bless you, Daddy!”), until the sneezer/cougher/throat-clearer-er responds with a, “Thank you!”.
It was cute. At first. But now? I try to do my sneezes and coughs very, very quietly. In other rooms. With the door shut. And the radio or tv turned on.

Hahahahaha that’s adorabley annoying.
I can picture an irrate toddler yelling “I SAID BLESS YOU!” until you respond.
awwww….. that is so adorable…and, it must be so frustrating for both you and your hubby….
