Gamma Knife surgery is a special surgical treatment that can successfully treat brain tumors. This treatment, defined as a stereo tactic radio surgery system, consists of the patient’s head being stabilized, or “framed”, while the gamma knife itself revolves around on a robotic arm, taking careful imagery and delivering radiation to the affected areas. The precision is guaranteed to be accurate to 0.5mm, which is the size of a pin point.
