Since its start last year, PayPerPost has gotten really big, really fast. And with good reason – the money they pay out is decent! Since starting on January 30th, 2007 I have made, to date, 2,305.33. That is a lot of money for simply blogging. When you break that down I’m making roughly $209.57 per week. In comparison, during my days at Burger King, I would have to work roughly 30 hours. 30 hours of stress, aggravation, pain in the ass customers, and grease. Plus my time to get to and from work, the gas I would use to get there, and the babysitting money I would pay my mother.
With PPP, I don’t have to leave my house. I don’t have to get dressed if I don’t feel like it. I can do it at any time of day or night, any day of the week. I make my own hours. And best of all – I don’t have to leave my babies. Even though there are days when I go crazy for just a bit of adult conversation, I’m grateful to be contributing to our household’s income without having to leave Alyssa and Ryan.
PPP is so great because they are able to successfully drive traffic to advertisers. That makes advertisers happy. And when the advertisers are happy, the bloggers are happy.
PPP’s last big announcement was $1k Tuesday – $1000 worth of opportunities given away every Tuesday. Now PPP has a new big announcement – they’ve acquired a company! Who could it be? Google? Maybe then they can fix the page ranking issue (haha). Or how about Microsoft? They could steal their code and secrets and make PPP bigger and better.
Just kidding… in all seriousness, I have no clue as to what company PPP acquired, though I keep wanting to say “youtube” or “Technorati”. Do you have any ideas?
Question though.. did you earn that $$$ amount with just jenn.nu or is this the total you’ve earned between the three blogs you do the PPP on?
I still haven’t decided if I want to go through with the PPP.. I may just give it a try and see how it turns out.
