PPP love

PayPerPost, if you don’t already know, is all about consumer generated advertising.

I joined PayPerPost in mid January. After an initial blog rejection (something silly that I was able to fix within a matter of minutes), my blog was approved on January 30th, 3007. I added a second blog in mid February, and a third blog in the beginning of March.

To date I have made $2,813.38. That’s roughly $187.60 per week (fifteen weeks). That’s not bad, considering I never have to leave my house, and I can do PPP at any time of day or night. I can login real quick while I’m cooking up a stack of pancakes and get in an opp or two. I can do opps while I’m breastfeeding Ryan, or reading a story to Alyssa, or while I’m watching my typical housewife shows (Judge Judy, Judge Alex, etc.).

When I first joined I thought I would use the money as purely “fun” money for us. Of course, that didn’t happen, since we now have this lovely little thing called a mortgage. Instead, I’m using my money to cover the things that Dan’s paychecks can’t quite stretch enough to, such as gas for the cars, car insurance, monthly appliances bill, and extra goodies for all of us.

Lately I’ve been doing the majority of my PPP posts at two other blogs, because I enjoy keeping jenn.nu purely personal. But when it comes to discussing something that is personal – such as my income and how I get it – I have no qualms about doing so, even if it happens to be a PPP opportunity.

Gotta love em! I did an experiment because I had adoptive mothers asking me if you could really make money online. I charted for like 7 days or something and I had great potential to make a ton in a month if I really set my mind to it. Of course, that all fell in my ear going deaf week so who knows what I can accomplish!

  2. Its cool but paypal cannot be that useful as a payment method for residents of my country :(

chien that really kinda sucks. maybe they will figure something out. Or perhaps payperpost can acquire paypal and then change that. I’m being sarcastic!

I have gone to the dark side and signed up for PPP, heh. I’m a bit of a hypocrite, but so what? We need the money for the wedding, I can’t get anymore hours at work. I’m only part-time.

  5. Sarah – I don’t blame you. You do what you have to in order to get the money you need to support a family, do extra things, or in your case, plan for a wedding. :)

Sarah I’ll add you to my payperpost blogroll. Jenn if you want me to add the other two sites as well I will. Just need the names.

Wow, that’s pretty good. Since January I’ve only made $150 from PPP. That I’ve actually received. I’ve been slacking, not doing it as regularly as I should be.

I started back up and from like mid april to now i’m pending for about $110 so i’m pretty excited. But I suppose it’s easier to make more money when you have multiple blogs. I need to get a second and third blog, i’m just worried about hosting costs. Obviously the earnings from PPP will make it up but it’s just paying for it first, ya know? I need to look for cheap hosts for those 2, the one I have right now is on Yahoo! Small Business which is about 12 bucks a month with the domain name and private registration.

  8. I have already made around $25 on PPP. Almost enough to pay for my next three months of hosting with my reseller account! :) I’m happy! Though it is very tempting to make lots and lots more money for myself, I dont want to end up feeling guilty come tax time. I’m limiting myself only enough to pay for hosting for a few invoices each year.

  9. Mike – even with slacking, $150 and pending $110 is pretty decent! As far as hosting goes, doesn’t Yahoo provide the ability to at least have add-on domains? In my case, I’m paying a flat $25 per month for a reseller account, but in addition to my domains (four total), I’m hosting a few friends, my husband, my brother-in-law, my mother and my brothers. So yeah. Lots of people, lots of domains, and the reseller is definitely needed!

If you’re looking for a new host, I would recommend estarr. I’ve been with them for a year now, and have no complaints. :)

Thanks, Ranee. I need to wait to see if I’m approved.

Wow that’s pretty good. I’ve only made 50$ but I haven’t really been trying. Plus I had to reset my account to add my new site, so… Great for you tho. That’s a hell of a lot of money.

I recently found your site and your other site In My Bag. :) I really love that idea a lot, and would like to set up a second blog (separate from my website/blog) for things I buy and perhaps some PPP posts (once I join and get accepted). I’d really like to keep sponsored posts separate from my regular blog, so I guess I’ll have to get it set up right away and start posting things so I can meet that 90 day qualification on PPP. :P Anyway, thanks for the inspiration!
