I got to sleep in! I woke to the sounds and smells of breakfast, and a few minutes later was greeted with my very first breakfast in bed. Dan ate with me, kept me company while Ryan nursed, and then I fell back to sleep (I have been so tired lately). I woke up later when Alyssa came running in to tell me, “Ha-yee Mutters Day!” and gave me a handmade card she and Dan worked on. When I read the card, I melted. Seriously. This card, complete with drawn in crayon flowers, swirls, hearts, scribbles (Alyssa) and lettering beats out Hallmark cards any day. ?
Lunch consisted of very tasty steak that has been marinating for two days, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob.
Dinner will be at my mom’s house, as Dan has to work tonight.*

Aww, handmade gifts, cards, anything, are always the best. I LOVE getting to sleep in, it’s one of life’s greatest pleasures.
