I hate when that happens.

I pulled up jenn.nu’s dashboard and was all set on writing a blog entry, when I got sidetracked with TMC and frenchkitten.net.
Now that I’m back here, I forgot just about everything I was going to blog about! :grumpy: The things I do remember I’ll stick in a list.

  1. My new laptop battery arrived yesterday! My old battery stopped working right around when my laptop started randomly shutting down. But we got sidetracked with house buying and then moving, and I didn’t get my laptop to stop shutting down until late April, when Dan took it apart and cleaned all of the dust and gunk out of the inside of it.
It is so nice to have a working battery!
  2. Speaking of things arriving, I am still waiting on a Nintendo DS video game I ordered (for myself!). Shipping was said to be in 4-6 business days. It was shipped on May 28th and it is now June 7th. That is eight business days, plus a weekend. I want my game. :(
  3. Fat does not equal ugly. I’ll touch on that later though, as I need to go out in a few minutes.
  4. So many babies! Congratulations to Caitlin, Sarah, Jenn and MissBehave.
(P.S. You chicks need to stop with the babies- you’re giving me serious baby urges!!!)
  5. My last entry may have been misleading. As I’ve said before, I don’t have any romantic feelings for my ex. I don’t feel anything negative towards him, but that doesn’t mean I want to get involved with him. It’s just crazy how he goes from being across an ocean and in a different timezone to just a short drive away! …But I will admit that the sudden “resurfacing” of the past can’t help but make me wonder, “What if…?” I know that playing the “What if…?” game is pointless and silly, but it’s interesting to think of how one’s life could have turned out if they hadn’t *insert decision here*.

Bleh, I hate it when things don’t arrive when they’re supposed to. It was really bad when I used to work for UPS and the item I ordered was being shipped UPS (in the case of my wedding band). I was checking on that sucker every 3 seconds to get the updated information.

I do the what if game all the time. I’m so happy with Joe and even where I am in life, despite the fact that I bitch about it, that it’s never anything serious. Just…”what if?” like you said.

I’ve been sidetracked all day and it’s starting to bug me. I need to get so many things done, yet I’ve spent all my time online moderating comments. Humm I wonder why???

Fat does not equal ugly, I cannot wait for this entry.

  3. What game did you order? If it wasn’t Nintendogs, then you should really order that. It’s like having an immortal puppy that you only have to virtually care for!

Ugly is a state of mind. A disposition. Something that people can control with their attitude. It isn’t a size 28 or a disfigured face. At least not to me it isn’t. I feel that ugly is something you can help, that you choose to be. While some people think fat is a choice, sometimes it’s not. I’d love to see a good viewpoint on it, though!

I absolutely hate waiting for packages. Especially since I have to send them to another address in order to get them without worrying if they’ll be stolen!

I play the “what if” game all the time, especially with my ex from high school. Unfortunately, that “spark” is still there as we discovered at our reunion. At least we figure it must have been there since his wife had an absolute fit that he spoke to me longer than to just say hello!

  5. There certainly is a baby boom going on, even me and my fiance are thinking of trying for a baby when we’re married.

  6. Long waits for packages make me paranoid that they got lost or something. Heh. As for the “what if” I know how that goes, too. Fun to think about sometimes, but I’m glad I am where I am.

I hate waiting for mail, I’m so impatient I want things in my hands NOW, lol.

Ugly is all about state of mind & one’s character.. not one’s physical form. I look forward to the entry!

When I ordered my delicious new bed sheets, they were MIA for a month. After we had filed a claim with Bed Bath & Beyond, we found them. The UPS guy had put them inside the storm door on the side of the house that we never, ever use. See also: The storm door on the (creepy) side of the house that has a sign on it asking visitors to use the front door (like normal, not creepy people). That was interesting.

I play the “What if..?” game everyday… but it’s more of a “what if I had stayed with him… I would have never met Joe.” sort of thing. Just as creepy of a feeling though I think.
