Before going to any new city, I like to read up on what there is to do in the city – specifically, neat places to go, and places to eat at. If I had never been to Philadelphia, you can bet I’d be looking up their nightlife info. Same thing goes for San Diego nightlife.
The only exception is Pittsburgh – when Dan and I made plans for me to move there with him, I was so excited and stressed about packing and moving that I never bothered to do much reading on the city. I waited until we got there, and then we went crazy with checking things out. 
All right, I think I’m ready for bed now… goodnight (morning)!
