My mind is all over the place, so rather than trying to piece together well flowing paragraphs, I’ll use bullets.
- Alyssa likes to help me shop. She leans out of the cart, arm stretched towards the shelves. “I got it!”, she tells me. “No you don’t!”, I tell her as I steer her away. Only she did get it when we were at Target on Monday. I found a pack of disposable Bic razors and mango scented Skintimate shaving gel in our bags when we got home. I didn’t spot it at the store because 1) Alyssa unloaded all of the stuff in the basket of the cart and 2) we had A. LOT. of stuff, so it was easy to miss two little items.
- She also insists on having her fingernails and toenails painted whenever I do mine. I have special fast drying sheer pink nail polish, just for her.
- Elyse decided to hold off on the self lovin’ one day for every comment she received on this entry. The poor girl has to wait it out until August 20th. Good luck to her. I couldn’t impose that kind of restriction on myself, and that’s with being married and having an eager penis at my disposal at any time!
- Kimm just had a baby. Congratulations!
- Cecilia is in the process of having, or has had, her baby! Congratulation!
- Despite a variety of meats, vegetables and sides in our fridge and freezer, I have no clue what to make for dinner. We ate out on Monday and Tuesday, and Alyssa and I had hot dogs (100% beef, so that’s something at least), macaroni & cheese and green beans for dinner last night, so I really want to make something heartier and healthier for tonight. Grilled chicken with seasoned vegetables and baked potatoes? Hmm, that sounds good… I’ll call up Dan and run it by him, but that should be fine.
- I have more work to complete by Monday morning. Monday morning’s payment will pay for Dan’s speeding ticket (*cough* dumbass *cough*), my car’s alignment, its inspection (finally!), a large picnic table and three seating canopied swing (perfect timing for the party of TWENTY (20!!!) we’ll be having on Thursday for Ryan’s first birthday!).
- After I complete the first 25% of my work tonight, I’m going to prettify Lavish. Girl Scout’s promise!

I feel so sorry for the poor girl. A month! That’s just unheard of.
