I’m glad this week is over. Between getting my father, running errands and dashing back and forth between the hospital, Dan’s job and home, I have driven over 250 miles. Ugh! But, even though my grandfather may be in the hospital for another few days, I won’t be driving nearly as much. For one thing, my grandfather is doing much better. His blood pressure is stabilized, and he should be moved back to the recovery floor today. For another, I picked up my car yesterday evening. $935 spent on a new fuel pump leak detection sensor, rear cylinders, new wipers, fog light, alignment and inspection, plus the $300 I spent on tires and an oil change a few weeks ago, and my car is nice and legal and safe. And back in my driveway, where it belongs!
After a long day, or even a not so long day, I go through two periods of sleepiness and fatigue – late afternoon, around 5pm, and then again later at night, around 10pm. Well, after running around all day yesterday and then going out to dinner, the tiredness got to me. I was in bed and asleep by 10:30pm. For me, that is very early. I mean, midnight is going to bed “early”. But 10:30pm? That’s ridiculously early!
Anyway, I shouldn’t be surprised that I popped up around 5:15am, and wasn’t able to go back to sleep. So I’m up. I took a nice, long shower, had some breakfast, and have spent the last hour going through emails and reading the news.
But being up this early sucks. Alyssa and Ryan will most likely be up by the time I get back from a few errands, but Dan probably won’t make an appearance until after 12. He was up until 5am playing Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on the PS3 that we bought last week. Not that I blame him… between working and all of the running around this week, he hasn’t had time to do more than setup the PS3 and play maybe an hour or so. But Friday kicked off his four day weekend, so I’m sure he is going to be playing until his thumbs fall off.
I ordered a new cell phone earlier this week. While I like the Sidekick II I bought from Anna last winter, I wanted something newer and not quite as bulky. So, after comparing various phones and reading reviews, I picked out the T-Mobile Dash. It is sweet. I still need to finish adding contacts and setting up other things, but so far the phone is a breeze to use.
Well, it’s finally 7:30. I’m going to head out to Target to pick up some milk and lactaid (Ryan still nurses three to four times a day, but we also give him juice and now cow’s milk. He can’t handle the lactose, hence the lactaid!), and then I’m going to come back, catch up with PayPerPost, work on a new layout, and then maybe catch a quick nap before Alyssa and Ryan are up for the day.

Hey – does the Sidekick II take a SIM card? We dont have them here in Canada..so is it SIM based? Or is it locked to TMobile?
I feel ya girl. I have been so tired lately. I’ve been working long nights trying to get caught up on my work and now I am paying for it. My eyes keep trying to go to sleep but my mind tells me, you still have things to do.
Yesterday I just crashed. I went to bed at 11 which, is also extremely early for me since I’m usually up till at least 4 in the morn, and hubby woke me up this morning at 11:30 to tell me he was going to work. I was like what the? What time is it? He said 11:30. I was like OMG!!! I didn’t wake up the whole night. It was like I was in a coma. I didn’t even hear him come in the room to get the bean or pnut when he got in the bed this morning. I was that damn tired. Had hubby not woken me up, I have no idea how long I would have slept.
Lack of sleep definitely sneaks up on you in a heartbeat. And when it does, you better be prepared, or at least arrange for hubby to watch the kids
My room mate plays Oblivion. lol. He said it was the only PS3 game out right now worth playing.
A question: Would you be willing to sell your sidekick? And if so, for how much? I was going to get one when I switched to T-mobile, but they are OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. (I’m sorry, I’m not spending $300 on a CELL PHONE. lol.) Instead, I got the Nokia 5300 XpressMusic, and I like it, but texting with a QWERTY keyboard would be a lot easier. So, if you’re willing, just email me and we can talk prices!
