My boring life

You would think that my auto financing company would be quite interested in receiving this month’s payment. But the online service does not accept credit/debit cards, and when I call the 888 number, I’m bounced right to account options and then right to a service representative. At least, I would be transferred to a service representative if there was one available. Yesterday evening I was on hold for one hour and two minutes. Then, out of nowhere, I was disconnected. When I called back, I received an automated message telling me that their office was closed, and to please try back on Saturday.
So now we’re into Saturday, and I have been on hold for thirty-eight minutes. I had already tried this morning, and gave up after forty-two minutes of being on hold.
This is really frustrating. Like I said, you’d think that they would be interested in receiving this month’s car payment!

I wish I had something more interesting to blog about, but I really don’t. I’ve been busy with four kids, errands and the other mundane things life has to offer. One exciting thing to look forward to is the trip I am making next Sunday to a town on the outskirts of Harrisburg. There, I will be picking up the newest addition to our family – a shaded silver Persian kitten. I had put a deposit on him several weeks ago, and he’ll be ready to go as of next Saturday, provided that his vet visit that morning goes well. He’ll be thirteen weeks old. I haven’t yet decided on a name, but I’m actively thinking of and writing down potentials!

Another cat! I love kitties and if I were able to I’d have a ton, but I think if I walked in your house I’d die! I’m a little allergic. Actually I think it might be more the products people use for the cats then the actual animals themselves. Strange I know.

Remember the Friends episode when Pheobe stayed on hold for like 36 hours or something?

Aww another kitty. I want one, but I am so insanely allergic to them it’s ridiculous. :( Enjoy your new fuzzy family member.

  3. Another kitty! Cats are evil. The cats and kids will combine forces and take you and Dan out. Just as soon as Alyssa can work the can opener.

  4. Is there an option to pay your bills automatically? I have all my bills set up that way, and it makes it so much easier. My only worry is that I have enough money in my bank account to pay them all. (which is fine, as I have set up various differnt dates that money comes out for various bills)

I agree with Leesuh, cats are evil (but lovable) the cats and children will combine forces. Keep Alyssa & Ryan away form the automatic can opener (and the cats too, they are getting smarter and smarter these days)

You can’t pay loans with a credit card, as far as I’ve ever experienced. Even if it’s a debit card. You can’t pay credit card bills with a debit card, etc. I couldn’t with my auto loan either.

I think it’s dumb, but oh well.

All this cats are evil talk makes me wonder if she’ll blog sometime and be like I woke up at 4am and all the cats were in a circle around my bed staring at me and Alyssa and Ryan were standing at the door giggling. Because we all know toddlers control cats and all that.

That irks me when you spend that much time on hold just to make a payment. They should have an option that says “if you’d like to make an automatic payment, press X.” I run into that crap a lot when I try to pay bills on the phone.

Oh! I’d love to have a Persian, but I don’t think my Spooky kitty would be appreciative. LOL

  8. That is insane. I can understand waiting a max of 15 minutes, but an hour and some odd minutes only to then be disconnected is not only rude but bad, bad, bad customer service. When you do finally get a hold of someone, I would complain if I was you.

I have paid loans back here and there with credit cards with not a problem. Why not just mail in a convienence check that draws money off of your card?
