Clearly, she is picking up on how stressed out I am. :dead:

Also according to Alyssa, or “Cici”, as she calls herself (she means Lissy, but has trouble pronouncing it), everything under the sun is hers. And of course, she is never tired. And everything I ask her to say or do is answered with a resounding no. And let us not forget how she has been continually testing both Dan and myself these past two weeks. I swear, if this is a taste of what Alyssa The Three Year Old will be like, I have my doubts as to whether she will leave to celebrate her fourth birthday. Or she will, but it is going to require some serious drugs or a lobotomy on my part.

I need to get my butt into bed soon. Despite it being a Friday night, I am once again going to be dragging my tired ass out of bed by 6:30am. I am taking The Kitten Who Has No Name to the vet tomorrow morning for neutering and vaccinations. The appointment is at 8:45am, but the vet is about an hour away. Joy. I just love driving to Harrisburg on a Saturday morning, when I could be sleeping! Oh well. At least The Kitten Who Has No Name will be de-balled!

Alyssa’s third birthday is just a week away. Earlier today I remembered that yesterday, October 18th, was my due date with Alyssa. Like a good blogger, I posted daily from the day of my due date up until the night I went into the hospital (for the second time, lol) to finally have her. That was the night of October 26th, 2004. She was born the next morning. Dan blogged that evening with a brief birth announcement (more of an informative piece).

Anyway, Alyssa’s birthday is going to be a VERY busy one. Dan has to work that morning, so I’m going to be running around like a chicken without its head, getting the kids together and the food cooking and served up and the house in order. I’m SO looking forward to doing all of that, while keeping after four kids. Can you sense my excitement? So, Dan will come home in time for the party to commence. After the party, Dan, the kids, myself, my mother, my brothers and Dan’s family members will be driving about an hour to Dan’s uncle’s house, where we’ll be having a huge outdoor Halloween party/festival/bon fire. We did one two years ago, and it was a lot of fun. This year will be great, especially since we’re going to dress up Alyssa and Ryan in their Halloween costumes!

Okay, now that this blog has gotten VERY long… goodnight!

  1. I love her artwork!

I always get a kick out of “interpreting” childrens artwork. You can easily tell where a child is developmentally. The details they notice etc… She realizes that Ryan has ears, and that the eyes have pupils, and that perhaps Dan has smile lines around the corner of his mouth.

I would love to see some paintings! (you can tell when they know it is finished, or they just like making a ‘mess’)

I love her drawings xD. I think you should totally take those drawings and frame them for her room.

Unless you don’t remind yourself that your daughter totally forgot to draw your hair xD In any event, I think its endearing.

Cute drawings! Yeah, you seem to be the most stressed…the others are smiling, while you seem to have a blank stare. Alyssa’s birthday sounds like it will be a lot of fun, but a lot of work from you. It will be worth it in the end. I can’t wait to plan kid’s parties! :)
