Over three years ago I made mention of seeing an unfamiliar transaction on my bank account. The transaction description was simply TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent. A few days after I blogged about it, I did some Googling and called up my bank and found out that the transaction was a fee assessed by a store I had accidentally bounced a check at. These fees/charges are often referred to as return check charges.
Anyway, since that entry’s debut onto the world wide web three years ago, I have gotten many comments and emails about what the fee was, what to do, yadda yadda yadda. Recently I updated that original entry to reflect my findings on what TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent is.
My very obvious update did not stop a woman from skimming my blog, seeing the term TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent jump out at her, and coming to the ridiculous conclusion that I, yes, ME, am somehow personally responsible for $25.00 being deducted from her account. She demanded to know how I found out her bank account information and what my IP address is. She then informed me that if I did not immediately write back to her and give her the $25.00 back, she would PERSONALLY (her emphasis, not mine) come to my place of business, call the cops and press charges.
After laughing, showing the email to Dan and laughing some more, I wrote back and after giving her some brief information on what TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent actually is (basically, copying and pasting what she IGNORED from my blog entry), told her to take her ridiculous threats and shove them up her ass.
Thanks Google, for making my blog entry the #1 result when searching for TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent.
(And yes, I fully realize that this blog entry will probably be the second result when searching for TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent. Le sigh.)
