I hadn’t given too much thought to Christmas, as Thanksgiving is still over a week (okay, a week and a day) away. But then, last night, I picked up our mail. And lo and behold, a shiny, gift-inspiring Target catalog was waiting for me! So now of course I’m all, OOH, CHRISTMAS, let’s go buy DECORATIONS, let’s go buy PRESENTS, let’s spend spend spend! But at the same time, let’s save save save!
We plan on doing most of our Christmas shopping at two places: Target (mainly for toys and homey gifts), and our local mall. We got into the mall shopping thing last year. It was fun to turn each other loose with several hundred dollars each to spend, then meet up later on and show off what all we picked out, as well as tease each other about what we got for them. Anyway, this year I plan on stopping by Ritz Camera and picking out something for my mom. I think she would be more into her camera if she had some fun accessories for it. She has a flash, a few plain filters and an extra battery, but that’s it. I’m thinking… lensbaby? Yeah. She would like one of those. And you know what? I want one of those, too!
