I really do not know a lot about fiber cable. When I see the term fiber cable, I think of that Verizon FIOS commercial, where the Verizon technician opens up his truck and the little boy standing on the curb is nearly blinded by the waves of light and glitter coming out of the back of it. Apparently, fiber cable is used in all sorts of settings where electronics are in use. Imagine that – you learn something new every day! ;)
