While dropping $300 on a water heater, more money on installation supplies, and then having to stuff the beast into my little Kia Spectra (thank goodness for hatchbacks and fold-down rear seats!) and haul it home was a bit of a bummer, we were greeted with some VERY good news when we got home, where my mother was babysitting for us: the boys can go home! So, after we had dinner (tonight was one of those grab-food-on-the-run deals and we all had something different – TV dinners for Alyssa and Ryan, Long John Silvers for Dan, pizza for my brothers, Chinese food for my mom and a Stouffers meal for me), the boys went home with my mom.
They’ll be back on Sunday night, and will stay with us until the school’s transportation office switches the buses back to my mom’s house, but that should only take a few days. And then, we can all have our lives and homes back to ourselves. YAY!
