I completely agree with that. The decor and furniture that make up a home, or even an individual room, can really affect the person in it, and give them certain feelings and stir certain emotions in response to what they are seeing and experiencing in that room.
I, for one, have never really liked a lot of “modern” furniture, because it screams “chic” and “trendy”, while not being very inviting, homey, or family oriented. Dan and I share similar tastes in home decor and furniture style – namely, traditional, classical furniture. Oh, we have our own personal favorites, such as a leather couch, or even a suede couch, large throw pillows, and my personal favorite – my corner style computer tower. I not only like the look of it, but how much it holds, and how much of a space saver it is! Of course, my computer tower is rather “modern” looking, so I suppose that makes me somewhat of a hypocrite, doesn’t it?
