Aren’t I a lucky girl? Ugh. I want to fast forward to tomorrow morning. I’ve been busy cleaning and straightening up all day, and catching up on laundry so that I won’t have an overwhelming amount waiting for me when I get around to doing it this weekend. I also made sure to wash my favorite flannel pajama bottoms. I plan on wearing them and a t-shirt to my surgery. Is that weird? I don’t think so. When I went in to have Ryan I wore pajama bottoms and a t-shirt. In that case, I think I was really justified, since I was mainly going in to sign in, and then get undressed and gowned up. In the case of my wisdom tooth surgery, I’m not bothering with “regular” clothes because there is no one to impress, unless you count my oral surgeon. He was described by the dental assistant as being a total “hottie”. I suppose so, if you’re into that weatherbeaten, rugged surfer boy who has OD’ed on tanning beds and Sun-In look. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a very nice guy, and I feel comfortable having him shove his large, overly tanned hands into my mouth and ream it out with a variety of sharp and cruel looking instruments that I’m glad I won’t be awake to see and feel, but there’s no “yum!” like the dental assistant insinuated there would be!
So. How is your day going?

That looks…
Owwww. I hope your oral surgery goes well! Don’t worry, I wore jammies to mine too. lol.
OUCH!
I’m pretty sure the one wisdom tooth of mine that’s actually making its way out (slowly….) is coming in normally… it’s just REALLY close to the tooth next to it, so it’s still messing things up in there. I should get it taken care of…
I don’t think it’s weird. I wore pajama bottoms and a t-shirt when I had Sascha too. In fact I wore flannel pj bottoms and a t-shirt to the birthing center Saturday night when I had to go in. I’d much rather be comfy when dealing with something like this than trying to look good when I feel like poop.
Hope everything goes well for u. I will be praying for u. Just think when ur done you dont ever have to deal with it again!
Ouchiiiiiies Jenn! Ugh I’m so glad I went to the dentist and got an x-ray before they started growing in. They were able to see that my wisdom teeth wouldn’t be able to grow in correctly so they took them out ahead of time. Ughhh I can’t even imagine.
AND, I wore PJs when I got mine removed, too. ;)
Pj’s are an excellent idea. I think I’d probably do that and then just roll back into bed for as long as I was able to.
That just looks painful dear. Sorry!
Ouch, that looks really paintful. I’m glad you’re getting them out tomorrow! I don’t think it’s weird to wear pajama bottoms when getting surgery. I believe I wore something along those lines when I got mine out too.
Ouch! I remember when I got mine removed my face was puffed up for days. It was awful.
I wish you the best, tomorrow.
Are they yanking all 4!?
I had all 4 of mine taken out at age 15. Glad it was all done and over with, then. My XRays were almost identical to yours!
From that panorex, it appears that the wisdom teeth might have already caused some major damage to the tooth next to it. Let’s hope not or it will have to be extracted as well. It’s a good thing that you are getting that wisdom tooth extracted now rather than waiting until later when more damage is done. After viewing that panorex, there is no question about why you were having such pain. I have seen much worse involving many teeth so be glad that its only one involved or possibly 2.
Poor thing! Wisdom teeth are not always the most fun.
I hope the surgery goes well! LOL. I love the description of your surgeon. I have the PERFECT picture of him in my head and it’s making me think of home. Oh, California–the home of the shake ‘n’ bake. Ha! i have no idea what it feels like to have your wisdom teeth being a pain but I can imagine it’s something akin to the undying pain that is taking final exams. Good luck and take care, Jenn!
Things could be worse; so, the overly tanned thing is not so bad. I had a dentist whom’s breathe smelled like shit. You better believe that I got up from that chair as soon as I smelled it. There’s no way I’m going to let someone get into my mouth who doesn’t care for their own. Moving on, My day was GReat, full of tests and nerves and reading and no food. Yeah, I forgot to eat in the mist of the whole exam thing.
Owww. Not fun. Not fun at all.
Dee, makes one wonder why the dentist was not wearing her mask to stay compliant with OSHA. You know you can report her to OSHA for that very bad infraction.
