Right now I am loving the cold weather. I was never fond of the warm seasons. Oddly enough, I detest spring most of all. I think it’s because it’s a warning of things to come, so when it comes to spring, I just want to get it done and over with so I can move on with facing the real brutal season – summer. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love capris, and tank-tops, and flip-flops and amusement parks and swimming pools and water rides, but I hate the heat. And unless I am having a really good time, I hate to sweat. And even when I am having a really good time, I don’t exactly enjoy sweating.
However, I quickly forget my dislike of hot weather by the time February rolls around. At that point, I am sick of winter. I am sick of being cold. I am sick of dry heat giving me static-y hair and a supercharged body that gets painful shocks from any metal surface it touches (car frames, doorknobs and refrigerators included). I am sick of my car being filthy from road salt. And I am sick of slipping and sliding on ice. At that point, I’m all about give me warm weather!
Why all of the rambling? Well, I recently heard about Amelia Island, which is in Florida.
