My mouth and jaw and face really, really hurt. But I’m reluctant to take any more Vicodin, because I have about three hours worth of work that I have been putting off since Thursday, and another two hours worth of work added today. I really want to get all of it done today so that I can get paid tomorrow or Tuesday, and take care of another bill and some last minute Christmas shopping. But… ugh. The pain is distracting me. If I take a Vicodin, I’ll be knocked for a loop, and can kiss any efficiency and quickness goodbye! The pills I have are 500mg… can they be cut in half, so that I’m only taking half of the dosage? Safe? Recommended?
I checked on our Christmas tree earlier, and I’m glad I did. It already sucked all of the water up! Silly us, thinking the tree would only need to be watered every two to three days. 
I took another picture of our tree last night, with our living room lights off. What do you think? I love it!
Oh! I was going over Alyssa and Ryan’s Target wishlist yesterday to show Dan one of the items I want to buy (online, and it is sadly not in stores!), when I saw that two gifts had been purchased. Whoever it was – thank you!

Right now I need to stop slacking and get back to work. At the moment though, in addition to dealing with my throbbing face and head, my mind is jumbled with thoughts of a sad trainwreck being talked about on LiveJournal. In summary, there is a twenty year old mother of three children under the age of four, all of whom are fathered by three different men. Not only does the woman not know who the baby daddies are, but she refuses to give the names of the possible men to her local child support advocacy, because she’s all uber kewliez ~*~anti government ~*~. So she does not receive child support, nor does she receive any kind of welfare assistance or benefits. Not snarkable in itself, if she were supporting herself and her children. But she isn’t. Instead, she and her three children live with her parents. It is her parents and her grandparents that provide the financial support for all four, as well as a roof over their heads. She contributes negligible amounts each month – enough to buy kids meals at McDonalds, or clothes. This woman refuses to get a job of any kind, because she is “moody” and “anti-social”, and refuses to work at a “standard” job or in a “cubicle”. With no high school education or even a GED, this woman’s chances of getting a job that isn’t in a cubicle or behind a fast food counter, or even in a cubicle on the other end of a phone is very unlikely.
This woman sickens me. She calls herself a parent when she does not, in fact, parent her children. My cat parents my kitten better than this woman will ever parent her children. She admitted herself that her parents are the ones watching her kids most of the time, while she herself plays WoW or does whatever. She doesn’t believe in discipline of any kind. A light swat on the butt is “abusive”, and time outs are “terrible”. Needless to say, the kids (I seriously typed out “animals” and had to backspace!) run around like animals. In addition, she says that she will not send her kids to school. She won’t even homeschool. Instead, she’s all about “un”schooling, aka making more social inept human beings like herself.
Oh, and while her parents and grandparents are footing the bill for her kids needs and parenting? She’s badmouthing them, her mom in particular, calling them abusive, horrible people, and saying that they have never done anything for her, and she can’t wait until they die.
Nice. Really nice.
On the topic of your tree: Try boiling the water before you put it under there. Hot water melts the sap that hardens over the cut end of the tree, which means your tree will last longer and drop less needles.
On the topic of that woman: Ugh. Just… ugh. People like that shouldn’t be allowed to HAVE children.
Your tree I must say, is the best looking tree ever. It’s SO full and just… Christmasx1000 when I look at it. I hope you can get your work done so that you’ll get some money. That girl on livejournal sounds incredibly disgusting. Wow.
Wow she’s not going to school them? I’ve never even heard of such stupidity. And honestly, in my area you aren’t getting a job in a cubicle without a high school education, not to mention the people who have been working for 20 years at it or have a little bit of college. She needs a GED or to suck it up and work at McDonald’s. It takes all kinds of people in all kinds of jobs to make this world work and there is nothing wrong with it, she obviously needs it to support her children.

I hate, *hate* people that get so into WOW they stop living In Real Life. I play WOW, I LOVE to play WOW but because Ben has been sick and Christmas seems to be coming up SO FAST, I haven’t been able to sit down and play in almost two weeks. And ya know what? I’M NOT SUFFERING ANY!!!

That tree is just beautiful! That girl is an idiot. I hope she doesn’t live around here, because here, she won’t get a job period. No one will hire someone who doesn’t have at least a GED. You can’t even clean toilets here without one.
Oh well, when the kids reach school age, they’ll get yanked if they aren’t in school. I don’t know of a state that won’t require her to either send them to school or homeschool them. :tonguer:
I love your tree. We got a fake pre-lit tree from walmart. Its pretty, and the only maintenance it requires is redecorating the bottom half at the end of the day when the kids go to bed.
As far as that girl goes, if she decides not to school them, when they are old enough for school, she is going to lose them in a heart beat. I dont know why she is even keeping them, she obviously doesnt care all that much for them.
